Re: Stella FK Knob Replacement

Did you figure this out? I have different thickness shims and I can help you out. Do yourself a favor and get a caliper. I bought a very nice Mitutoyo caliper last year and I don't know how the hell I ever got by without one until now. I used mine the other day for exactly what you are talking about...

Excellent!
I wonder if they knew it would cost more than $200 to ship from the United States to Japan. Yeah that's right, $200. The lady at FedEx told me if I ship it myself, it would be a little over $206 to ship it to Japan. That's insane!

Re: New Twin Power C2000SHG is making a rubbing sound

Digitaka gave me their FedEx account number so that I can send the real back to them at no cost to me. As soon as I get a tracking number, I am going to send them the tracking number and as soon as it is in the system, they are going to refund my money so I can buy another reel. That is great custom...

Re: New Twin Power C2000SHG is making a rubbing sound

That seems to be a Shimano special - the last half dozen Shimano spinners I've bought made some version of that dry raspy rubbing sound, from Vanfords to Stellas. It was the worst on an Exsence 3k - that one I got rid of. I can't feel it or hear it while fishing so I've learned to ignore it. Still ...

Re: New Twin Power C2000SHG is making a rubbing sound

Like a lot of people here, I have bought many reels from Japan and this is my first problem. I contacted Digitaka to find out if I can send it back to them for warranty service from Shimano in Japan.

New Twin Power C2000SHG is making a rubbing sound

I made this video of my new Twin Power C2000SHG. I'm fairly new to spinning reels and have no idea what it can be. I did contact Bryan, the guy who used to do reel repair at The Tackle Trap, about sending it to him but I haven't heard anything yet. I read the post earlier about Bantam saying Shimano...

Re: Aldebaran BFS 16 Spool

I made the same mistake. I bought the 15 Aldebaran with the hopes that ZPI would make a spool for it and so far they have not released one yet. I should have just bought the new BFS XG and be done with it.

Re: Dan, any word on a new Calcutta lineup?

Thanks Dan. It's curious to me as to why the 12Calcutta's are extremely scarce on the JDM sites. It wasn't that long ago that Japan Lure Shop had them at closeout prices. I think the 100's were around $180 something and there is only one 100 size 12Calcutta on eBay.

Dan, any word on a new Calcutta lineup?

Dan,

Have you heard if Shimano is coming out with a new Calcutta?

I deleted everything that I posted because it was a little bit inappropriate and because we have heard from FishShimano and Bantam1. Thanks! :D

Re: Calcutta 50B improvements

My guess is no and no. If you ever wanted a shallower spool than what your 50B has, you would need the spool from the JDM 05 Calcutta 50. The best way to increase your line capacity is to use a very thin braid as backing or as a main line. I have never heard of a gear change for the 50B.

Re: Shimano's JDM Expride Lands in the US

No rod sleeve? Maybe it's just the JDM models because I just bought two 6'10" ML BFS models and they both came with rod sleeves.

Re: Shimano Conquest 250 DC Breaking System

If you need a new DC Unit, it's $135.56 from Plat. http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/optionparts/language/en/manufacturers/5/siries/9/ Do you know the part number? I couldn't find schematics for Conquest 250 DC, only have CTE-250 DC and there part number is 3206. Okay, i find it from Plat page, it...

I do not own the new Conquest 100 but I have owned the old Conquest 100. I like the 50 better because it is smaller and lighter.
