I own one in each of the 2 gear ratios and think these are definitely my current favorites. These replace 2 of the Curado I's, which performed nearly the same, but were just too heavy for my liking. One quick question Cal. The photo on Page 2 or your review, showing the main gear stating" Micro...

I firmly believe GYCB get more bites than most other brand of soft plastics, but they're just too darn fragile! They rarely last beyond one bite. For the price, I'll just look for alternatives.

I also lost interest in the Calais/Antares years ago for the reasons you stated in the article. I owned a previous Antares model and while it was smooth and built like a tank, it was also pretty heavy. After a while, I stopped using it and sold it.
