Re: NRX vs Steez vs Megabass
I think one of the problems that i have seen in this thread is that you are speaking of MB as a line of rod, whe it is several different lines. The XX line is (in my opinion) as much a pleasure to use as my NRX. It is however not as sensitive. Just as with all rod lines some particular rods withing ...

Childhood friend needs help!
A childhood friend of mine's younger sister has gone missing and is believed to be in the company of a dangerous individual. Prayers are appreciated. The latest info, photos, etc are on this page: https://www.facebook.com/findemilysusemichel?pnref=story It would also help if you could share it. Than...

Re: Tip of the Hat to IKE's new rods
Bronzeye brings up a good point. There would need to be a standard load applied. and IlliniDawg01 is on the money a pucture of the rod under said load would be even better!

Re: anyone use bass mafia 3700 coffin for terminal
I keep my terminal tackle in a Plano 3700-? (the big deep one) and then put my hooks and terminal tackle in separate, organized pill bottles. Got them from the pharmacist. Label the top of each with a permanent marker. I also keep my JJ's in a pill bottle, adds a little extra insurance.

Tip of the Hat to IKE's new rods
No I'm not big on the purple paint, or any abu rod for that matter (dont hate just my preference). But i would like to recognize the first ever intelligent rod rating system. We all know that "powers" 3,5,7..etc. vary from brand to brand. On tackle warehouse it shows each rod rated medium, MH, etc. ...

Re: Lefty Crankbait Reel?
i also use a 6 ratio reel for all of my cranking. I have found that with the newer high quality gears and larger handles on the current reels that the "power" feeling of the low gear ratios is readily found in the mid ratios of today's reels. There are times when super slow retrieve is the key, but ...

Re: Dedicated 4" to 5" paddle tail rod
1. i have a used destruction for sale. Check bass boat central for details (i don't have 100 posts so i cant post it here) 2. the XX EMTF in my opinion is not only better suited to the task (assuming a 1/4- 3/4 oz jig head) but its also cheaper. i couldn't see why a 5 inch paddletail would need more...

Re: Braid-Fluoro.
for me i like the braid to FC setup for dropshot. When i fish a drop shot its on a tight line (to the weight) so i dont worry about the slack line issues... i fish a shakeyhead on straight FC.. reason being the slack line sensitivity issues (i have a hard time concentrating on watching my line) a se...

Re: better crankbait rod?
i absolutely love my BPS crankin sticks... This coming from a MB, and shimano guy... i dont use them for anything over an ounce however... once i get to that point i have found lighter duty swimbait rods to be better suited.. +1 to BPS

Amart and Enigma
Want to hear your thoughts on Amarts jump from MB to enigma (?). Did some research on that rod company. . And I felt pretty underwhelmed. Maybe the rods will be better than they look?
