I have a steez a the prior gen.
I’m also a fan of the shimanos. I feel like they’re more fun to cast and palm better.
I think the steez does a better job being easy to use. They don’t cast as far but don’t backlash as much either if you’re swapping out stuff or casting into the wind.

Re: MB Brigand - Feedback
I just asked this question in a different forum. The rod is stiff but the length and parabolic action was good for pinning fish. I couldn’t really get good casts. The backbone feels like it can handle half oz but I haven’t tried. I can’t really get a loaded cast on a 1/4 oz dark sleeper. I thought i...

Megabass Daemos hook set
All, is there a different way I should set the hook on Megabass rods?
I have been fishing the Daemos throwing Texas rig worms but I’ve been missing a ton of fish.
I’m use to Dobyn’s champion and Kistler KLX.
Should I wait to set the hook like a frog?

Re: Daiwa T3 value
I bought a T3 1016 6:1 recently. Was in pretty good condition no major dings. I would say maybe a 7 or 8 condition comedic, 9 mech I was willing to pay around 100-110 for it on one of those other forums. Email is a good place to get market rate. I also got a t3 SV 8.1:1on ebay from Japan I think I p...

Two 2017 editor’s choice reels. Which is better?
There were two reels that really stood out to me this year in the editor’s choice awards. Of course it’s the Shimano Chronarch MGL and the Daiwa Tatula SV TW. For those who have fished both reels, which do you prefer? Both reels received glowing reviewings from TT. I own the Chronarch MGL and I own ...

For the guys that have core 50 and Curado 50e, what lures are you throwing with those reels?

Re: new zillion
I thought the new project t video was quite informative http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOdsfBea84U&index=1&list=UUtZ9Q6Bp_GdHT2wG0G5CaFA From the video, I'm going to guess the -bigger/less dense gear means the retrieve won't have as much momentum as the prior gen. -the casting will be pretty great d...

Re: For people who find Dobyns Rods Mediocre
I absolutely love my Dobyns Champion.
I have a KLX that is a very close second. The only thing I dislike about the KLX is the tip feels slightly heavier when I have a <7oz reel on.
For the money I'm not sure I can get a better rod, all things considered.

Re: New Zillion - We want info!
On paper, I'm not finding anything new on the Zillion that blows me away. Maybe fishing it tells a different story.
I wonder what the potential is like as far as light lures.

What's the deal with Lew's BB1
I'm having a little trouble understanding what the market is like for the Lew's BB1, not the pro. I was under the impression that tons of people like lew's and likes the lew's BB1 reel TP etc. I personally am not a fan of my BB1 5:1 with multi-stop anti reverse. My main complaint is the hollowed out...

Re: Curado I vs. old Zillion
As usual, it really depends on what you're looking for. I've used a Curado I extensively and I own a Zillion 7:1 Here is what I would consider. Want kind of breaking do you prefer? Centrifugal:Curado. magnetic:Zillion. Want a clicking cast control knob? get the Zillion. Want a ligher reel? Curado So...

Re: My reel will not slow down..
I had the same problem. Take the cast control knob off and take that hard plastic piece that is inside the CC knob out and flip it around. What might have happened is you left the CC knob tight for too long and now there is a little indentation where the spool was. Flip that plastic piece over and n...

When did we agree to spend so much?
Has anyone ever thought about when and why we decided to invest in tackle rather than just getting rods and reels that did the job? I remember when i first started fishing 3 years ago, my appetite for spending money on fishing was pretty low. I spent 20 bucks on a combo at walmart and three fishing ...
