Re: Antares D.C. Guys
I have a metanium 15 dc, the Antares is bigger but comfortable to palm. I have not tried the calais dc, but comparing to the metanium dc; I was able to cast 70M with lipless crankbait on metanium and the antares was able to match with heavier line. I believe it can do much better if I didn't use hea...

That's awesome, what lures do you use on your 3 World Shaula?JWY wrote:I love my 3 World Shaula.
Because the weight distribution is pretty good on these rods, you can put just about any small to medium reel on it and it will balance just fine. I often put an OG Zillion or a 15' Met DC on my 1702.

Reel for World Shaula 1702R-2
I am thinking about getting a World Shaula 1702R-2, seems like a MH range, for lipless crankbait and mid depth cranks not sure what other lures.
Can anyone recommend a nice reel to match? I was thinking about 2014 Conquest with ZPI NRC spool, but scared of the shallower spool.

Re: Fulfill Your Destiny With Shimano's 2015 Metanium DC
Another great review to go along with a sweet reel! I have the XG monted on my Luxxe Oltre 69MH - love it! I have mine on ultima 70mh, I was thinking about getting a Luxxe Oltre 69MH and put another metanium but I decided for Luxxe Oltre b70H with Antares 16 dc. My 2 favorite combos! I like my Meta...

Re: 15 Conquest calcutta 200 hg drag
The 200 model of these reels does not have a clicking drag. If your brothers one is making a clicking sound, you need to either strip it down and look to see what may be loose, or out of place. If you are not confident, send it to your reel repair man. These reels are super smooth and quiet when dr...

15 Conquest calcutta 200 hg drag
So I have a 100 size and the drag is super smooth and quiet, this prompted my brother to get a 200size. However this, although smooth, is making a clicking noise as if it was a bait clicker. Is this normal? Should this model be making a clicking noises as line gets pulled out?a

Re: What setup am I missing?
:D I make long casts. As for my flipping stick, I've converted it to my saltwater inshore halibut/bass fishing rod. I have to keep my Heavy stick, since I'm in California it is pretty much a must have to catch lunkers(not really but it is awesome setup Super Red Demon and Conquest 250DC). Thank you ...

Re: What setup am I missing?
My first thoughts are how do you really like to fish? What baits do you throw consistantly that produce for you where you fish? Most of us are not "road warriors" and fish limited bodies of water. We pretty much know what will work and what won't. The 6'6" Med is an excellent choice for drop shots,...
