Megabass Destroyer P5 F3-610X
I know Cal did a review, and I read that. I'm looking to replace my Dobyns DX702c. I currently mostly use the 702 as a 8# general purpose pond rod; jerkbaits, small cranks, jigs, dropshot, small blades, literally a little bit of everything. Though I do spend more time with faster reaction baits as I...

Curado DC levelwind not moving.
I used my Curado DC for the first time yesterday and ran into a problem... It worked fine for the first hour or so, but then the levelwind stopped moving when the handle was engaged. I'm not sure if it was a result of the thumbar not fully re-engaging or something else. The levelwind was all the way...

Re: Exsence DC
i got my exsence DC in on wednesday and took it out yesterday and fished several hours with it. first of all, it wasn't a big as i was fearing...in fact, it's maybe just a hair larger than my other reels and is very comfy to hold or palm. i measured the handle and was pleasantly surprised to find i...

Re: JDM order
mike, i'm in the US (california) but i've ordered from that particular rakuten shop (hikoboshi-fishing) four times now and each time was fast, easy and painless. in fact, i just received my exsence DC from them today...took just five days. after you place your order, they'll send you a confirmation...

Re: Exsence DC
Not sure if it will fit, but the below numbers seem to indicate that the Calais spool holds more (PE #2 is smaller in diameter than 30lb braid). Looking at the Exsence spool it doesn't look like it can be much deeper. Calais spools are $66 from Shimano, probably worth a try. Calais DC: braid: 30/150...

Re: Exsence DC
Just got mine, excited to try it!
Anyone know if there are spool options out there? At the minimum I'd like a spare, ideally there's something with more line capacity (for ocean fishing).

Re: The Tackle Trap - Vixen, Swamp Donkey, new Megabass rods
Who has used the Super Mirage? What is it like? I'm looking for a 8-10lb do it all rod, small blades, cranks, jerks , senkos.

Re: Exsence DC
Anyone have experience with the Exsence DC vs. the Scorpion DC? Considering a Scorpion because it's a little lighter and a little cheaper. Only interested in the DC casting differences between the 2.

Re: Yo-Zuri - Yay or Nay??
I also really like the Pins Minnow. I use the 2" a lot when messing around for crappie and panfish. All my Pin's are the older ones however, before they switched over to the krinkled reflective material. The new one's may be more reflective but my eyes prefer the look of the older ones.

Re: Tatula spool
It's sure hard to tell for sure from the pics, but does the spool have a bearing on it? It looks like it might not. If the bearing isn't on the spool I'd guess that's part of the, "air rotation" system? If so I wonder how it differs from Shimano's spool-shaft/bearing layout. The long spool shaft is...

Re: Full moon night
Nice setup!
For those that have used the Werewolf, what does it fish like?
I'm looking to replace my very old TD 661-3RB (for something much more expensive obviously) and the specs look similar.

For those like me who weren't sure how the G-snap worked (would've preferred to link to one of our vendors but this is the only pic I could find)...

Re: Team Daiwa X-103HVA
I agree, great reel! The first truly great reel I owned and still holding it's own 12 years later. I believe the HVA will have the same (or very similar spool) as the HSDF in the Tackle Tour review (12/120; 14/100): http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdaiwatdx.html For a reel in good shape I think that ...
