Re: Compile-X baitcaster

should I take a chance and use my Compile-X rod to frog fish? Jeff Are you talking about the 71H? If so, give it a shot because it's not the greatest bottom contact rod at it's price point. I've been fishing the new AGS Steez rods lately and as much as I like the look of the Compile-X, the AGS rods...

Re: Tak tat elite crank rod?

I have this rod and it is a very good rod! And depending on which TDS crankbait rod you have ( med or mdhvy) the new Tak rod is stiffer because his 7-00 is a medhvy. I actually like the way the TDS rod handle feels compared to the new one, I'm a cork guy but it hasn't hindered my casting in anyway. ...

Re: New Daiwa?

I had one in my hand yesterday at our Daiwa Days at our local tackle shop. It is a Daiwa and for a $99 reel it felt good, it was very smooth but here again it's not made to compete with anything other than those in its price range. Talking to the reps Daiwa wants to have a good piece of the market a...

Get the new Steez CC 5.3 model for cranking and the Steez SV or the Steez A for flipping. I have the Steez A and love it for flipping.

Re: daiwa steez harrier stz 7011hfb-sv

I have the Compile x and it is a very sensitive rod. If the Harrier is as good or better I wouldn't hesitate in getting one myself. It took a little getting used to on how the rod performed and exactly what bait and weight to use as I think some may have not done. I have a Steez A on the rod but I ma...

Re: Daiwa OG Tatula vs. Tatula Elite (Howell and Feider ML)

I thought they both were SVF... http://www.daiwa.com/us/contents/rods/tatula/index.html http://www.daiwa.com/us/contents/rods/tatula_elite/index.html there is two different types of SVF from my understanding standard SVF then there is the Nanoplus SVF and the Elites in my opinion are more sensitive...
