Re: St Croix elite warranty only 15yr?

I talked to a St. Croix rep at a recent Expo about the new 15 year warranty and he explained that lifetime warrantees are becoming ridiculous as far as cost to the company which I agree with. Re: Spinning rods in the $200 dollar range

My vote is for the St. Croix Avid or Legend Tournament. Very sensitive and lightweight sticks. Made in the USA, lifetime warranty, plus the best customer service in the business. Get one.

Re: New Trout Rod

I personally use a St. Croix Legend Elite LES66LF for my 1/16 jigs (mainly for walleye, perch and crappie). I think it would also be a great drop shot rod for up to 3/16 ounce as the legend elite graphite is stiffer than the avids, premiers, etc. The tip is soft enough for pitching those small jigs ...

My 2 go-to solid body craws are the NetBait Paca Chunks (in Alabama Craw color) and Berkley Chigger Craws (in Green Pumpkin).

Shimano Rarenium Ci4 2500
Shimano Sustain 1000
Shimano Stradic Ci4 2500

If you can get your hands on the Rarenium, do it! Unbelievable reel. Smooooooth as butter. Better than the $300+ reels I have and had...
