I talked to a St. Croix rep at a recent Expo about the new 15 year warranty and he explained that lifetime warrantees are becoming ridiculous as far as cost to the company which I agree with. Rods are much more fragile than reels and reels usually only have one year warranties. Doesn't make sense to...

My vote is for the St. Croix Avid or Legend Tournament. Very sensitive and lightweight sticks. Made in the USA, lifetime warranty, plus the best customer service in the business. Get one.

I personally use a St. Croix Legend Elite LES66LF for my 1/16 jigs (mainly for walleye, perch and crappie). I think it would also be a great drop shot rod for up to 3/16 ounce as the legend elite graphite is stiffer than the avids, premiers, etc. The tip is soft enough for pitching those small jigs ...

My 2 go-to solid body craws are the NetBait Paca Chunks (in Alabama Craw color) and Berkley Chigger Craws (in Green Pumpkin).
