Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??

Just speculation, but I bet one of the tweaks to the new xx rods is changing the reel seat to the style found on the new destroyers and xxx series. I could be wrong though of course

Re: Spro's New Dean Rojas Bronzeye Spit Shad

Cal, thanks for another great review! I myself have done rather well on the spit shad. I'm curious about your rod choice in using the Diablo Spec R. Did you feel it worked well with the spit shad? I have the same rod, and while I do feel it's quite versatile, I never would've thought to use it for e...

Re: Megabass F3st-610XXS vs F3st-610S Stinger Tip Rods

Thanks for the detailed responses guys. I think I liked the idea of the stinger tip but know in the back of my mind its not the best option. Pretty sure I'll go with the XX, not that the Levante is bad but I know with my OCD I'll end up wanting more, or maybe I'll just buck up for the Addermine lol....

Megabass F3st-610XXS vs F3st-610S Stinger Tip Rods

Hey all, I've been toying with the idea of getting a new drop shot setup in the next couple months and I'm pretty sure I'll be going with one of the Megabass Stinger Shot offerings. I've never tried a solid/stinger tip rod and it is a little intriguing. For those who have fished both, how do you fee...

Re: Evergreen Brett Hite Combat Sticks

I just got the 7'3" Heavy Glass Model (decided MH wasn't gonna cut it) the other day. Its a beautiful rod and the build looks quite nice. Getting the er' out on the water for the first time this weekend and will report back with my findings.

Re: Evergreen Brett Hite Combat Sticks

Saw these in a tackle shop yesterday and they're nice sticks. Didn't handle the glass rods much, but they were beefy. And the 7'1" M and 7'3" H sticks were light, though the latter was juuuust slightly tip heavy despite having quite a long handle. Hoping the 2oz top end lure rating for th...

Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods

Hey guys, I believe this was asked above but I never saw a response: what is the grip profile like on these? Slimmer like other MB offerings or a little thicker for the American market?

Re: Casting v's Spinning for Finesse?

Table Rock is a unique and finicky place.

Now that I've had some practice, I do pretty well pitching light baits on my BFS setups. In fact I never really use my spinning rods anymore. A ML-M rod and abec 7s will help.

Re: heracles leopard vs Dobyns 765 CB Glass

I don't like the camo pattern at all for a rod so I wouldn't consider one of the Combat Stick rods. You could always cover up the grips with shrink tubing? Just need a scissors and blow dryer http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Accu_Cull_Grip_Saver/descpage-ACGSV.html Can also be bought from Mud Hole an...

Re: heracles leopard vs Dobyns 765 CB Glass

Have you considered the new Evergreen USA Combat Stick series vs the Leopard? The RCSC73HG may be a good option and is definitely well priced. Obviously, the rod isn't out quite yet so there is no real feedback out there, but I'm looking forward to picking one up

Re: Combat Stick

Looking forward to some reviews.I wonder if they over-rate the powers on these.Wold't be the first JDM rod co. to do that. The 7'3" hvy mf has my interest :D +2,3,4 and five for me on the reel seat and camo handle opinions. I'm wondering about the ratings being high as well, the chatter bait ro...

Re: Original Powell Max vs Max 3D

I believe the reel seat is different on the 3D, but I'm not sure beyond that. I've got one of the old Max frog rods and really like it
