Re: Ultimate Drop Shot set up

Love my Megabass hedgehog evoluzion. I have a Daiwa theory mounted to it but I’ll be upgrading soon. Perhaps a new Exist

Re: QUESTION: Daiwa Tatula/Zillion TWS -> Braid -> Fluoro Topshot

I can’t get a splice knot threw the t-wing while retrieving. I’ve been doing braid with about 6 feet of fluoro, but this season I’m doing about 1/3 spool of braid and fill the rest with fluoro. I’m coming close to the splice knot on a long cast.

Re: spool bearing pin removal tool

Obviously, I wasn’t paying attention to the diagram. My bad. I really should invest in quality calipers. I’ve just been eyeballing the pin and the pin hole.

Re: What’s your Finesse spinning rod?

I use a hedgehog evoluzion. Pretty amazing rod. Considering an nrx dsr822 for the sake of comparison but I’m intrigued by the Megabass destroyer ambitious. An F0 would be a blast to fish with.

Re: spool bearing pin removal tool

I’ve been using the older hedgehog tool for a while. It works fine for me.

A little off topic, but is there a direction that the spool pin should be removed/installed? In other words, is there a slight taper to the pin or pinhole?

Re: Daiwa Tatula HD 153 size

The Tatula HD 153 Spool does fit the Tatula HD 150 and the Tatula HD 200. Found these answers from Hedgehog Studio before purchasing one for my HD 200. I've installed the spool, and it does indeed fit fine. I did have to pull out one of the metal spacers in the side plate to achieve perfect spool c...

Thanks fellas. Buoyant, no salt, lots of resistance. I'll try some trailers out.

What jig trailer for slowest fall?

Looking for a trailer to slow down the fall of pitchin and flippin jigs. I usually use a beaver style bait as a trailer on 3/8-1/2 oz jigs but I want to get a slower fall. Thinking about using rage craws or zoom ultra vibes. What does everyone else use to get their jigs to fall slower?

ZPI or type-r+ spool for Zillion sv tws

Picking up a Zillion sv TWS soon. Looking for opinions on what spool to go with. I’m looking at either a ZPI NRC001-M or a tdz type r+ spool. I’ll be mostly pitching 3/8 - 1/2 oz jigs and creatures with 12 lb fluoro. I’d like to be able to make a long cast when necessary.

I have a Fuego LT 3000. Same diameter spool as my Theory 2506. Wished I had picked up the 4000 instead.

I'd love a 9'+ orochi xx for cranks and finesse fishing. Dream come true if that happens.

Re: Daiwa Cronos 7'6" F vs. XF?

The st stands for stinger/solid tip. I have the fast action and use it for weedless dropshot rigs, flukes, spring baby shads, spy baits, shakyheads, Ned rigs and wacky rigs. It's very versatile. Seth has a tatula signature rod. Thinks it's a fast action. Could be wrong about the action. I know he de...

I do not believe that the new legend tournament rods are available yet. Looks like they won't be available for purchase until November. I am also interested in the long spinning rods but will have to wait.
