3 years and my aldebarans have held up fine. I use mine mostly for jerkbaits and small finesse stuff though. I know a bunch of guys using it for flipping and no major issues have come up. They are much more durable than the abu / lew's light sub 5oz reels.
Alright so if I'm going to go with the Orochi XX its at the $300 price range. Am I missing better option at this price point or is this pretty close to the best $300 rod. Usually spend $200-$250 on a rod so this would be a step up and you guys have more knowledge combined than anywhere else so just...

Depending on cover 843 is fine, but in the thicker stuff the 844 glx might fit better. I am personally waiting on 904 and 905 conquest ) :mrgreen: Webby, which Conquest are you looking at as there isn't a 906? I'm guessing the Conquest 903 is going to be a phenomenal swim jig rod, among other thing...
