Help! Orochi xx 7'9 Flipping special
I have the Megabass Orochi xx Amart flipping special. I love the way the rod handles, but the rod hasn't been the greatest to me. The first one I got broke setting the hook the second time out. I used my one time free replacement warranty and now Im having guide problems. One guide on the rod came o...

Re: Best Buzz Frog/Toad
I like the ribbit. I use the owner twistlock hook with a 1/8th ounce weight. This allows for a better casting distance as well as making the frog sit down it the water when bringing it through grass and what not. It goes through it better instead of over the top of it and messing it up. The weight a...

Re: sniper 16lb vs 20lb
beware that shooter acts nothing like sniper. While shooter is still a florocarbon, it is alot stiffer and harder to manage. Its good line but it is in my opinion hard to manage.

Re: sniper 16lb vs 20lb
I love the 16 lb test. I use it for jigs alot. Its still supple and easy to cast. I can get good casting distance and it is limp enough to skip really good to. I love it for skipping docks with a jig. I dont have experience with 20 lb but the 16 was just perfect for me.

Re: Lew's Reels
I used to use alot of abu garcia's, specifically the revo sx. After having numerous ones consistently tear up after 3-4 years I started looking else where. I went to lews and absolutely love them. I have the team lews (they stopped making them and replaced them with series of team lews they now have...

Re: Orochi xx Flippin special for Swimbaits?
If you don't think its a good fit what would you recommend for an inexpensive ($100-$200) swimbait rod. Okuma Giude Select Series Big Bait Casting Rod Review: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewokuma711mhsb.html Im liking the looks of this one, I have dealt with okuma before and they are great folks a...

Re: Orochi xx Flippin special for Swimbaits?
Thanks for all the replys! Yea I saw the Leviathon but was trying to refrain from dropping $300 before I was sure it was something I really wanted to get completely into. I got the flipping stick back before the orochi's were even out (I preordered it at the tackle trap), so the leviathan wasn't eve...

Orochi xx Flippin special for Swimbaits?
Hi, I dont post to much on here but I really want to get some opinions on this. I have read on multiple occasions that the Megabass Orochi xx 7'9 Heavy flipping rod wouldn't be a bad swimbait rod. Can any one confirm or deny this, what is your opinion? Here in Ga I don't use too many larger sized sw...

Not to hijack this topic but I didn't want to put up a whole new thread when this one was already here....Does anyone else have issues with certain tackle boxes (such as the individual plano boxes)not holding their terminal tackle well? Anytime my terminal tackle box gets turned on its side or upsi...

Re: Catch me up on the latest FC's please
Im a big sunlike fan. Tatsu may be good but is $40 or so a spool. To me sunlines "natural" mono isn't very good and neither is their lower end sunline super floro. Their sniper on the other hand is fantastic. I love it in all sizes. The sixteen lb is fantastic for jigs around cover and docks. It cas...
