More than likely the pinion bearings are bad. Every one that I have come accross, that was the noise. From now on, every Shimano that I service gets new ones whether they need it or not.
I finally got to take the new 100 and the SV out to do some casting. Both reels spooled with 40lb J Braid x8 Grand.
