Re: New Tatula100

I will say this about the new 100 compared to my CT SV. The new 100 feels more plasticy in the hand. It kinda feels to me how the OG Steez did in the hand. Even though they were the high end models, it just seemed weird. I really just need to get it out and cast it with some baits. I spooled it wit...

Re: TD-Z Owners Guild

Some say history repeats itself, I just don't see nothing on the market that has caught my eye other than the Bantam MGL.. That being said Ive gotten me 2 TD-Z's Type R+ on the way and I've looked through this thread to find some ideas because i want to go in a different direction. Everyone's artis...

Re: What's next for Shimano???

I would like a new Calcutta 200GTB, but in a more compact size. Probably one of the best Shimanos brought to us, next to the Curado50E.

Re: Calcutta 200b/gtb

I have a 200GTB that I still use to this day. Love that reel like nothing else. It's the most solid thing I own, and it even feels that way in the hand. Though most people don't like the round reels due to size/weight , they are some of the toughest reels ever made. If you want to dip in to the Calc...

Excellent job. I really enjoyed that read. Can't wait to hear how it performs for you once you get back out on the water. Thank you for taking the time to do that. =D>

You do realize that this is Tackle Tour, not Bassresource, right?

Re: What reel for frogging on a MB perfect pitch?

Thanks guys! I seen a couple new tatula sv tws’s go for around $150 how are those? And would you guys use the tatula for the perfect pitch and leave my steez on the diablo spec-R? Would the steez be better for frogging or most of my other finessing applications? @lowrange it’s the 2nd Gen the 2018 ...

I picked up a CT Type R off eBay for $100. Can't beat that with a stick!

Wormshaft and pawl. Maybe idler gears. Clutch return cog and kick lever.

Re: Noisy Curado 201HG's

More than likely the pinion bearings are bad. Every one that I have come accross, that was the noise. From now on, every Shimano that I service gets new ones whether they need it or not.

Apple cider vinegar. Old redneck trick.

Or, you could just replace the bearings as they are cheap.

Re: Casting vs. throwing your back out

Ive never heaved my casts. Rather I can do a roll type cast. My arms never tire as I use the rod and reel to do the task, as should be.

Re: New Tatula100

I finally got to take the new 100 and the SV out to do some casting. Both reels spooled with 40lb J Braid x8 Grand. Given the SV is supposed to cast lighter baits better, I rigged a 1/16oz weight and a lizard to the SV. I also rigged a 1/8oz weight and a lizard to the new 100. Casting both with the ...
