Anyone stick a regular Daiwa Sol spool in their SV105s?
Did you ever try the Sol spool in the sv105?
Unfortunately no. I have since sold that reel to fund some other stuff.

Re: OG Zillion High Speed Levelwind

Will help with thin braid, but they tend to wear out quickly.

Re: Flip Pitch Punch Reel

I have a Tatula CT Type R/Fuego CT hybrid reel that I use. Basically took the T Wing system out of it, and used the regular line guide and Fuego sideplates. Dont care to beat up any of my nicer stuff with that kind of abuse, so I use a cheaper setup that has a stout drag and solid gear set.

Used the Bantam today and absolutely love it.

But it does need some sweet grips and a carbon fiber handle, I wonder why HH don't sell there brand anymore :-k
Put a HawgTech handle on mine. Used the stock knobs though. Lovin the reel a little more every time I use it.

Re: Metanium DC worth it over Curado DC

The DC system in the Metanium is superior to the Curado. But, if you are looking for heavy use applications where you are gonna be beating the reel up, you might want to take the Curado over the Metanium. But thats just my opinion. Or, you might just want to swap a set of brass gears into the Metani...

Re: Curado 200e7 or sv103

Shimano to me has always been a more "simple" design when it comes to assembly. Spool options is a plus for the SV103. The main downfall to the XS models is the levelwind pawls and wormshafts wear quick. Downfall for the E series Shimanos??? Man, thats a tough one. Honestly, my favorite of the serie...

Re: Curado 200e7 or sv103

Just get the reel you want. You are only on this planet once, so dont live with any regrets. Worse comes to worse, you will have no issues selling the SV103 if you decide to get something else,.

A friend of mine wanted mine soo bad he bought it off me. Lol. Hes been using it for frogs and no issues yet. Really though, it hasnt been out long enough yet. The Curado K has though, and they are the same reel, minus the spool.
I know, but the scorpion looks way sexier.
Well duh.

Re: Bantam MGL

I have the XG version. Using it with a custom rod and 17lb Sufix Advance for pitching baits with weights in the 3/8-3/4oz range. All brake tabs on and the dial right, it does really well. Its solid, and there is little to no resistance. Im liking it. Tried casting with it, but my Citica200E is a bet...
