hi folks.
Just got a 2-piece rod. The top piece cannot be fully inserted into bottom piece. is this normal?
I never see this in USDM 2-piece rods.

gloomis cr841 as a BFS rod?
I need a BFS rod to go with my pixy and core + fancy spools. I am looking for some rod has 1/32 ~1/4 rating, fast. -I owned dobyns 701c and owning steez megatop. I don't think they are in BFS category in my hand. -I also looked at major craft volkey, the shipping kills the deal. Also there is no war...

Re: Three's company...KTF/ZPI/Hedgehog-Avail
Is your avail the honeycomb version? I just got my avail honey comb yesterday. It looks awesome and incredibly light. I spooled 4lb trilene xl on it. Hey Grabass. I can pitch in on the avails. This is based on the Ald0929. On standard Shimano VBS...it's very tame...IMO too tame. On the 4P it's still...

Re: Steez Rods - value at lower cost?
steez rods all the way. I own more steez than nrx . I need 2 more steez to complete my arsenal, they are 802 and 721. Two rods best backed by their companies: steez and cumura. I did break some rods, now never worry about broken rods again. Fish with confidence and relax. Bye bye megabass, bye bye s...

Re: steez comparison help
741 swimbait has a longer handle (about 1.25inch longer), stronger backbone. It is different blank and action as 741 frog. swimbait can handle heavier lures than frog. If frog up limit is 2oz, i would give 2.5 oz to swimbait rod. I think swimbait rod overall is a stiffer rod and stiffer tip than fro...

Re: Need a rod for T3
Agreed, I think T3 is best suited for moving baits, especially jerkbait. I paired my T3 with my jerkbait rod, which is a steez 651. I think that flip top is awkward if you do pitch/flip and other short distance casting. T3 has a edge on casting distance when throwing light to medium lures. It casts ...

I also have a nrx852c. I used it for 1/8oz tube jig + jig, and weightless 4" senko.

Re: Is the Megabass Finesse spool better than the PX Finesse
Any of these spools will fit into my px-r without any modification? As far as the pixy goes the ZPI MG Pixy Spool RC-301 is a much better spool than the PX Finesse. I sold my PX Finesse spool after getting the orange RC-301. It doesn't necessarily cast lighter but provides better control and more us...

Re: Three's company...KTF/ZPI/Hedgehog-Avail
I thought I would hear your result first before buying any of these. But the waiting is too long so I bought the avail spool yesterday, because it can be easily found. I hope avail is the winner. ok. what is the comparison result then after a few years? Its actually only been a few months and I shou...
