Re: How to try to fix my new Tsurinoya Ares which is damaged by hook?

Sorry it hurts to look at this. I would have retired the rod or just took my chances of it breaking. That is absolutely unbearable to look at. It's giving me anxiety. I might have a nightmare about this franken rod. Really Sorry....honest

Re: Do you think Megabass will ever make another reel?

I think the reels these day are so advanced that they can't really bring performance improvements. The spools are so highly tuned already. Megabass can mainly offer color and aesthetics now mostly in my opinion. Maybe they can offer runs of discontinued reels like the original black Lin (Black Jungl...

The whole counterfeit reel this is a joke. China is not going to counterfeit a reel. They are going to make some plastic blob abomination and put a spider or a Daiwa looking logo on it and call it a Sogayyoulang Dawa or something. No one is fooled and the end results are hilarious.

Is this a REEL topic? Have we run out of things to discuss where we observe how crackly the bag is... Wow I guess you never heard of counterfeit items. It happens. more often than a lot of people think. I didn't even realize this thread was about counterfeit items. I legit thought we were dis...

Re: Blown up Curado K.

I am a Shimano man. I've been so since 1991. I raised my son to be one too. Between us we own 10 Calcuttas, 6 B series Curados, 1 B series Citica, 2 - Chronarch As, 6- Citica D's, 1- Curado D, 1 - Cardiff, 19 - E series, 4 - I series, 3 Bantam MGL-s and 3 K's. That is 56, Shimanocasting reels. Add ...

Re: Back in Love again

I also share in this dilemma. You have formed a bond with an old friend/reel that you put some work into and you have a history. I believe the new reels perform better stock ie zillion 1000 and met 2020. However with your investment/history the old stuff performs almost as well and is bullet proof. ...

Re: Zillion HLC... the neglected child

Would it be good for bomb casting spinnerbaits? I have a steez sv tn special edition that I put a HLC spring in the SV spool so I can do just this and it seems to fit the bill. 6.3 gears as well. I don't need super fast for spinnerbaits. I can speed up or slow down. whatcha think?

Re: Van_____ Reels

Vanadium/Vanadous (really expensive, contains vanadium) Vanderbilt (TN edition) Vandalize (parts missing edition) Vanish (clear plastic-walmart special, kids will love it) Vanaspati (organic lube rather than synthetic grease) =D> I would buy these based on nomenclature alone! :big grin: :D

Re: Daiwa prorex tws 400

I think this is the same as tatula 400 in japan... Agreed most likely based off Tat 400 in Japan. Prob why they are not releasing the 400 in north America. This will be the Tat400 with Power handle and color highlights etc. I can't wait to get one. Gear ratio's and line pick up look great for big m...

Re: My SV Boost reels, so far...

If you're fishing from a boat, you really don't need much distance in most cases, but i can tell you that fishing from the bank, an R+ spool compared to the orange RCS Steez spool or the Steez SV TW stock spools (as a few examples) are so far behind. I see a lot of people praising them because you ...

Re: Megabass Reels - No More? ... AGS rods?

They did the Megabass Rhodium (Tatula) reels with TW. I hope they bring more “tuned” reels to the table. Interesting.... Never seen this till now. "Megabass Rhodium" I'm hoping for some of the higher end reels. Ryogas, New Zillions, Steez etc.... Lets see. Funny its been quite a few years now. Star...

Megabass Reels - No More? ... AGS rods?

Any idea if they are still supertuning Daiwa's or any other reels or did they get out of the reel game. I haven't seen a t-wing megabass reel or AGS furnished rod.
