Sounds like a winner! I have a 7-6 H3 X-fast coming with Sic guides and a full cork grip. :big grin:

Re: Daiwa T3 value

I'm thinking I'll try the Zillion G1 SV TW in one of my T3's just to see. Daiwa should have tried the 3D in more reels. It works great in the Z.

Re: Steez SV TW vs Metanium MGL

I have the Steez SV TWS and the MGL and the two rods. * Kislter Z-Bone model LEXF-5H-73 Heavy X-Fast 7'3" 1/2 - 1 1/2oz * Kistler Helium 3 Heavy XFast, 7' 3/8-1.5oz One of the rods I want to use delicately for 3/8-3/4 oz Jigs, the other for paddle tails and random stuff. How would you pair the...

Re: Jigs: Conquest 904C vs Legend X 7'6" Med Hvy vs Steez SVF AGS 7'6" vs NRX 894C JWR

Was just looking on the Kistler web site, the 5power Z-Bone is available up to 7-11. In the build your own section. I was leaning toward the Conquest, but I think I will go with a 7-6 full handle Z-Bone. May I ask you to share your thought process? I like the full cork, but not so much the split re...

Re: ZPI or type-r+ spool for Zillion sv tws

I would fish the stock spool for a while first. I like it more then the ZPI-M. While the ZPI is a great spool, you are not gaining an advantage over the G1.

I have the LTA crank bait rod, telescopic, goes to 7-9. It's turned out to be a great chatterbait rod!

Re: Deep Cranking Reel

I picked up a Zillion TWS 5.5 gets the job done. Should have grabbed a spare!! I just converted my 9.1 to a 7.3 (bought a 7.3 too when on sale) and it feels soooo much better. The 9.1 was just torque lacking for me and the baits I wanted to use so I ordered some gears, boca oil, and grease from Tac...

Re: Black Jungle 7'4" Power Versatile

I'm in the same situation, don't do enough swimbait fishing to warrant a dedicated outfit. The PV fills the bill. I can go from a plopper to a Megabass Grenade, then switch to a B-Venom or go to a 5in storm. Swiss Army rod.

Re: SHIMANO OR KISTLER

It's not an apples to apples deal. The KLX is a X-Hvy 3/8-2oz. mod-fast Meat Stick. It is mostly backbone, not a lot of "tip". The mod-fast just makes it a more parabolic bend. Throw a jig into the stuff and drag them out. The H3 is 7-3 Hvy 3/8- 1-1/2oz. it has a more refined tip that load...

Re: SHIMANO OR KISTLER

I have used the KLX Grass Punching Stump Grinder, H3 7-3 heavy, and the LE5 Z-Bone at lake El Salto. Have landed 10+ on all. The KLX was great with jigs in the trees. The H3 was great with jigs or swims. The Z-Bone for bottom contact lizards, worms. For the $ you can't go wrong with the KLX. It's a ...
