Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

I would have to agree with Scooby on the T-Wing, if the level wind is not centered the casting distance suffers. It does cast well enough, not your "long bomber" but will get the job done. The 84mm handle is too short, IMO, other then that it's all good! :big grin:

Re: Steez SV TW castability compared to Tat SV TW

I don't have the Steez, but picked up a Tat Tw Sv 8.1 on the cheap, spooled up with 50lb. suffix 832 throwing 1/2 oz. traps it gets them out there really well. Good control and great distance, for a low $ trap reel it fills the bill.

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

I'm sure a bearing flush would be beneficial, but I wanted to fish it stock for a while to get a baseline.

Re: Bantam MGL Who has their hands on one?

Got some time with the Bantam Mgl Hg, spooled with 18lb sunline structure fc. Reel is bone stock, the first outing was a bit of a break in outing, started with 2 brakes and quickly added 1 more, had a lot of fluff with 2. After about 2 hrs. the line smoothed out a bit and casting was much better. Th...

The 1516 Zillion 9.1 with the HLC spool is a great frogger on a 7-6 H3.
