I had a Bantam and replaced it with a Steez A, there is big difference between the two it's on another level over the Bantam in just about every respect.

The OP is looking to spend $350 max.

It was in the garage sale at Plat. The "Monkey" had to have it at half price!

Fits between the Tat SV and the Tat 100. Just a smidge bigger then the new tat.

Re: How would you pair this up?

I would go with the Zillion/SV103 on the SVD with the 16 floro. The Sv103 spool is deep and is a good caster in the Zillion.
The Morethan would go on the swingfire, the stock morethan spool should hold plenty of 8lb.
Just my .02 All in all some badass combos you have there!

Very Nice =D> Get a balance kit from Mudhole, makes the combo a little heavier, but the better balance is worth it.

Re: Need a 200$ bank fishing rod for Jigs and Texas rigs

=D> Good choice! I use mine for jigs, frogs, and single hook swinbaits, it gets the job done. That will be perfect then. Might find another spool for my zillion to put 20lb flouro on it just in case. I'm also thinking about putting a different reel on the megabass to make it a little more versatile...

Had 4 of these on B/O from Daiwa 4 like ever, they finally showed up. So, if anyone is looking they may have some in stock.

Re: Swimbait rod

been using the Kistler H3 7-6 H XF, mostly for 4-5 storms, 360 searchbaits, single hook type baits, even tho its rated as an XF, its got enough tip to keep them pinned, and plenty of backbone to get a good hookset. Good luck with the search!

Re: Conquest vs NRX

I have the CNQ904 and the NRX894, for bottom contact the NRX is a little more sensitive, but the CNQ is way more versatile. If you want to take off that jig or worm and tie on a chatterbait, skinny dipper etc. no problem with the CNQ.

You don't have to use all the lead!! But, for an 894/895, yes, all the lead.
