Re: Wildest child
I have an I'ZE Personal Order with an ZPI Rc-001 spool in it that tends to have a really bad attitude some days. It is weird because my other reels with RC-001's are as tame as can be, but not this one! I will say, it will put a bait in to orbit, but if you arent careful you will have a bad day for ...

Re: The New Daiwa Presso Shock and Awe
To me, the presso is a timeless classic. I still use three of them in my daily line up. It is one of those reels that just feels and fishes "right" in my hands. I use them mainly for small cranks and small topwater, however they are more than capable when it comes to using them for bottom contact st...

Re: megabass orochi xx vs orochi x4
Finnz922 is on the right track in saying that the X4 series as a whole tends to have more moderate tapers than the XX do. I personally prefer more moderate rods, even for baits requiring a hookset, so I tend to prefer how the X4 series fish. However, I would not relegate the X4 series as a strictly ...

Re: Arms Challenge World Edition
Thank you so much for posting this!
I purchased a ARMS World Edition about a month ago to pair with my Voila and was wondering how it would look. It looks amazing! Now just have to make it another month or so and mine will arrive.

Re: Orochi XX 7' Med Flat Side Special
FWIW I love my Fast Move Special. I have used it for everything from shad raps and griffons to DT-6 and larger pointers. While it is definitely more comfortable with the smaller cranks, it does fine in the Dt-6 range as well. As Bronzefly mentioned, the FMS has a very unique taper. I generally am no...

Another ARMS question
I am going to bite the bullet on an ARMS Challenge World Edition. However, here is my dilemma. It is very clear to me that the rod best suited to my fishing style is the Fine Bronx. To push me even more so toward the Fine Bronx, the reel it will be paired with will be an IS 73 Voila with a Honeycomb...

Ch 50 question
Hi, I am getting ready to do a build on a Chronarch 50E. I am doing a Sky Blue KTF spool and I want to do a Sky Blue full dressup kit from hedgehog studios. I did this exact build on an Aldebaran not too long ago, but I kept the stock drag star and stock handle. On the Ch 50 build I am looking to us...

Re: Need everyday casting rod (Megabass)
I have the Cyclone Advantage X7 that you mentioned. I have not owned it long, but have put in a lot of time on the water with it, and caught some nice fish. That rod is probably THE BEST 3/8-1/2 spinnerbait rod I have ever held. I can see it being used for crankbaits, however, I would not. I prefer ...

The elusive one has been captured...
Here are a few items I have recently acquired, as well as a piece that I couldn't seem to get my hands on... until now. :evil22: First up are two new X7's that I added to my lineup. I have had the Super Eiger and Shading X for a while and loved them so much I decided to pick up a few more. These rod...

Re: Starting Over
I recently did this as well. Rather than selling everything and then re-buying. I sat down and wrote a list of all the techniques I would need a combo for. I then started gradually buying top-shelf stuff, and selling off my other combos to reimburse the purchase. It worked pretty well and it didn't ...

First Shimano Build
I have been toying with the idea of doing a finesse Shimano reel for a while. Several times I came very close to biting the bullet on an Aldebaran BFS but just never could commit to it. Finally I started buying parts and this fine little reel came together. Aldebaran Mg7 KTF Spool Hedgehog Studios d...

Re: finally...JDM Shimano rods in north america.
Spoke with a rep on pricing at the classic expo. He wasn't sure but he thought he had heard one line was around $300 and the other was around $450.
Who knows how accurate this was, as he seemed very vague.

Very Sharp! I love the look of those slant bridge rods.
