Re: Abu Garcia WTF's

Also, their chrome parts, such as the clutch, losing its chrome after a season or less is just :laugh1: That's what i get on reels from aliexpress sold for $25. Too hard for abu to do proper chrome pieces? Never have i ever seen a Daiwa reel with erased/chipped chrome on the clutch, but on abu, its...

Re: Abu Garcia WTF's

Here we go again............."They don't even use any tech, its just linear magnets in most reels, and they're made in Korea."
You must be talking about Daiwa or Shimano. Its just more fake news.........from the left.

Re: Abu Garcia WTF's

Hmm......What a powerful life lesson when comparing Abu Garcia with other reels. "The MGXTREME2 for a good price would be fun, but stock versus stock price the Steez hands down wins. Think a Tackle Advisors youtube test had the MGXTREME2 out casting the Steez and a high end Shimano though.....&...

Re: Abu Garcia WTF's

How many times have we heard this one: "This benefit really is for the larger sizes of this bait and certainly the 25.5 is an easy bait to pull in the water but I was also using a low gear ratio reel in the Revo4 X Winch (5.4:1) made specifically for this application." Sound familiar right!

Re: Abu Garcia WTF's

Wow........Im still using the original Revo STXs that were released back in 2007. That was and still is the best release of a low profile reel ever....IMO..............I use all the brands conquests and tdzs and their great reels. However when it comes to cranking power and torque no one can match t...

Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?

I haven't heard about a handle lean problem. Maybe you bought a lemon........... It does happen, "But the tolerance between the base of the handle shaft and czb bearing is so great that there is quite a bit of lean in the handle on the retrieve. " Provide some pictures of the issue!!! :cry...

Re: Daiwa PT33 Series

The great Rick Clunn used the Daiwa pt33 to win the Bass Master Classic on the Arkansas River years ago. He won that tournament using a bomber model "A" crankbait. Bill Clinton (former president) attended the final weigh in and the rest is history. I have 2 pt33 3:8 - 1 cranking models. Th...

Re: TDZ / TDX is there a better platform

Great for light weight presentations. (1/2 ounces and under). But tdzs lack the power and torque to move big fish from heavy cover. Therefore the new Tatula SV TW might be the best reel for its price ever.....IMO.. They say the Tatula s crank better under a heavy load.

Re: Fishing the dog days of August

Here in Georgia it depends on the condition and body of water. Normally i will fish earlier and pre sunlight if you can. I will fish surface baits the first 2 hours of daylight. I rather catch fish on the surface than any other method. I will fish deep water if i have to fish during the day. (9:00 A...

Re: School me on round reels

Shimano Calcutta Conquests if you want the best. Used Daiwa lunas and CVZ's are available on ebay. Also Abu Garcia still makes quality round reels. I would buy a used shimano conquest 200 series. Daiwa makes some jigging reels that might fill the bill if the bling factor is a requirement.

Re: Morrum SX1600C Hi Sp

Great reel and I been using mine for years. Avail makes an excellent finesse spool for the reel. Japan tackle might have another spool for that reel. Also Hedgehog might have one available for that reel.

Re: Daiwa Prorex Spinning reels

There is a real good reason Daiwa keeps on making these reels. (Daiwa SS /7001300 rees). Their performance is legendary!
