Re: JDLaman : Feedback Request Topic

I don't know what to say or where to start on how to perfectly describe him, let's try, this guy is super great to deal with and a great communicator. He's very understanding and more passion about the sport or hobby than anything. I bought a couple of reels from him with better than expected surpri...

Re: "Older" Shimano

I've had many of the following reels Chronarch D's, Curado E's, Chronarch 51mg's, Core's through my fishing life, which is about 32 years. The last 15 of those years are spent solely on bait casting, I love my Core's, but I miss my Chronarch D's. I regret selling them. I don't own very many spinning...

Re: Hedgehog always sold out

Does Hedgehog Studio ever restock? They have been out of a ton of parts I'm interested in forever. Are there any other places that sell their stuff or similar? I'm looking for a lot of custom color parts for Daiwa and Shimano. Nothing too exotic just Hedgehog seems to be the only place that has the...

Re: What is your preferred Shakey Head Worm?

My fav is NetBait T-Mac. If I want to go smaller, NetBait Finesse or Big Bite Baits Squirrel Tail. Reaction Innovations Flirts work well also. I also have great luck fishing craws on the shaky head. I really like how NetBait T-Mac presents it self. I have caught several fish with a T-mac worm on ei...

Re: Kigan guides

Kigan makes several variations in guides so you'll have to be more specific. However Dobyns used kigan zirconia guides in their older Champion extreme rods and there were some failures reported. I own 6 rods from that series and 4 out of the 6 rods needed guide repairs over a 6 year period. One rod ...

Re: Casting v's Spinning for Finesse?

I do pretty well with a Dobyns 742 Champ Ex (casting rod) paired with a core 51mg7. The bearings in the core have also been replaced by HedgeHog Air bearings and the reel is lined with 8 pound Seaguar. The rod has enough power to turn 3 - 4 pounders around and still cast 1/16 ounce lures with precis...
