Re: 16 Destroyer JDM v. 17 USA Destroyer

Same blanks? Please explain further because to my understanding there is no 16 destroyer JDM rod that is equivalent to even 1 model from the 17 US destroyer lineup. Blank material/technology and each rod's specific action/taper are not the same thing. When he says they are using the same blanks, he...

The Scorpion will not handle quarter ounce and below... i do not believe any DC System will. If you want that capability, you're better off choosing an MGL reel from Shimano's lineup.

Re: TackleTour Shootout : Stella FJ vs Exist LT

Max Drag numbers are marketing hype by manufacturers. Did you look at the photos of the respective drag stacks? (Did I show them in this revew? LOL ) ... Anyway, they are exactly the same. Some manufacturers use tools to tighten the drag giving them higher numbers. With spinning reels, max drag is a...

Oh ok, so you're the one

Important to note it's I-DC4 and I-DC5 not just DC4 and DC5 .. the "I" stands for "intelligent" because the systems supposedly learn and adapt to your casting style.

You can read about I-DC5 (not the same but similar to the Curado's system) in the Scorpion DC Review: http://www.tackletour.com/reviewshim17scorpdc.html

And 4x8 DC in the Antares review: http://www.tackletour.com/review16shimantaresdc.html

Crazy Glide? The Baitsanity Explorer Swimbaits http://tackletour.com/images18/featureban_baitsanity.jpg Introduction: There is arguably no more desirable hard-bodied swimbait to big trophy hunters than the custom glide bait. Re: Quantums S3 series baitcasters

I have only handled one Smoke S3 but I haven't fished one. I really to like it - I am afraid I would bite on a Tour if it felt any better than the Smoke. Guess you guys don't read the reviews eh? :? Only discernible difference between the Tour and Smoke is in pitching. Otherwise they're really clos...

Re: St Croix Legend Glass

The weight really intrigues me...the LGC74MHM weighs in at 5.5oz. Most of today's glass rods are really quite respectable in terms of weight which makes them so much more fishable compared to the old tech glass rods. And there's nothing like that buttery smooth power curve of glass when you have a ...
