Oh! You're talking about the new version. Sorry, I didn't realize that. I don't have the new one, so I cannot say.

Re: Daiwa SV103 or 50th Anniversary opinions

Why do you consider them an afterthought? I view them as one of Daiwa's best and most versatile reels...best of both the TD-Z and spool options and the OG Zillion for toughness. Thanks and best wishes on the water. I consider the SV103 and afterthought because it came out after Daiwa abandoned that...

Re: Cranking rod

Here is what has me a bit confused. The Swingfire is a F5 but rated at 1/4 to 5/8 oz while the Flatside special is F4.5 and rated at 3/8 to 3/4 oz :-k Did I list the spec wrong in the review again? Unfortunately, I don't have the rod anymore to check but if the Swingfire is 1/4-1 and not 5/8, that'...

Re: Airrus Rods Info

Bummer... last I can recall, they were based in Europe now. I'm not sure how the North American distribution thing is working - if at all these days with them.

Re: Forum Restrictions

Cal, This is your forum, and I appreciate your explanation. Just a couple of questions: Wouldn't the content of any particular video/channel speak for itself, whether it's good/bad/narcissistic/irrelevant? Is this a blanket ban on links to any personal youtube video/IG post? Are negative reviews of...

Re: How fast is too fast?

for frogging, pitching and flipping, 10.1 is fine. But for anything else, and i feel like i lose sensitivity when using anything over 6.3 maybe 6.8 tops. That's interesting. I've never really liked fishing reels faster than in the 7s, and only recently grown accustomed to some reels in the 8s. Alth...
