Re: handle nut wrench

We can get a few in to stock. We haven't had many request for them, but it wouldn't hurt to have 2 or 3 on hand.

Re: A different type of bearing question

That's exactly right. Boca ships their bearings dry. Hedgehog, ZPI, etc ship their bearings oiled. The races in all of these are stainless. The difference is the bearing cage. I cant say for their lower end bearings, but I know most of Boca's upper end bearings are of German origin. The bearings fo...

Re: A different type of bearing question

Thanks for taking the time to reply. So lube vs. non lubed is the ticket? However, ZPI clearly states to NOT run their bearings dry. Do you run your ZPIs dry? Also, the Chinese variants of the same seem to have a crappier finish than the BOCAs, especially apparent when it comes to the finish of the...

Re: Tatula SV TW bearing upgrade help/guidance

Take a small dental pic or flat blade screw driver, and with your thumb over the retainer, gently pry it up and out. When you get ready to re install the retainer, flatten it out with a pair of pliers. Set it in there and use a small flat blade screw driver to press it back in. Its not bad too bad a...

Re: Carbontex Drag Washers

Does anyone out there know of a Youtube video which shows the drag upgrade (carbontex) on a low profile baitcaster? I've found several for spinning reels, but nothing for baitcasters. I purchased a Daiwa kit from TTT and the kit has three washers in it. It appears that two of the washers are the sa...

Re: Steez A TWS

No reason at all. The Steez A performs great with an SV spool if you’re looking for more control.

Re: Daiwa 34mm deep spool with a shallow inductor?

As Mark recommended, the SV1000 Deep spool is the best option SV wise. As for other spools, the RCS1016 spool we sell should work flawlessly in that reel, or even the new ZPI PG spool.

Re: Daiwa SS SV 103 Handle.

Daiwa Zillion TWS 100mm or Daiwa Tatula HD 100mm handle. We have the Tatula HD handle in stock at The Tackle Trap, and the Zillion TWS handle is on backorder.

Re: Carbontex Drag Washers

When you guys do your yearly reel cleaning, do you clean/wash your Carbontex drag washers, just add additional grease or nothing at all? If you clean them, what do you use to get the old grease off? Thanks in advance. I use an old toothbrush and simple green to clean them. Scrub them down, rinse th...

It's usually part G43-1001 I believe.

Some reels such as the Zillion's, Tatulas, etc use an 8x12x3.5

The steez and some JDM models use an 8x12x2.5

Re: Removing spool bearing from new metanium MGL

Just wondering if anyone else who has a shimano metanium MGL reel has tried removing the spool bearing? After removing the spool pin and retainer c-clip the bearing doesnt come off the shaft as expected...it still seems to be stuck in place. Do i need some sort of special tool to remove it? How did...
