Re: Dobyns Champion 635CB - first trip out.
I'd be curious to see how it compared to the 684cb, The shorter handle of the 635cb really peaks my interest although from the sounds of it I would want to set up to the 635cb and not the 634cb.

Re: Dobyns Coalition series
I guess that is why he has an offer on his website on buy any rod from a retailer and get 40% off specific rods. There are a few that interest me, but I want casting rods and the ones that interest me are all spinning. I just caved and bought a DX764sf & DX763sf from American Legacy with free shipp...

Re: Japanese Screw Baits - "Nothin's New"
Sure there have been prop baits around for years and years, but spybaiting is not all about the lure.... its the tecnique that is used to fish it. Years ago you never seen anyone counting down a propbait and fishing it on 4-5lb fluoro.

Re: Thought's on HM-1 Cumara Spinning
The reel seat is the same design as what E21 had on their spinning rods and in expereince, my hands got beat up from the design over a day of fishing. The original design they had on the Cumara's was already nice. The reel seat and hook hanger placement has me staying away from the spinning rods. P...

+1 for Tackle Trap! You have a tough tough decision to make, although you've had experience with Dobyns thus far so I think you know what to expect from them, I cant wait to toss some jigs on my DX745

Re: Thought's on HM-1 Cumara Spinning
I picked up two of these rods and have been messing around with them, I was able to get some time on the water with them just before walleye closed up here on the St. Lawrence. I opted for the 6'8" MH F W&J and the 6'8" MXfast drop shot. I really enjoy the rods, actually prefer them to my old model ...

Re: Z-Crank X, where to order?
I am pretty sure SAIL carries those, at least the Ottawa SAIL had or still has some. I and a few others I know have always had positive experiences from Ichiban Tackle. Awesome guys to deal with. Hey guys, looking to order a couple Megabass Z-Crank X crankbaits shortly but TackleWarehouse doesn't s...

Re: Simplifying my setups as a coangler
This is an excellent thread, and it has helped with my planning. I am providing my list of rigs and applications below. BUT this is not cast in concrete, so I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. At the moment, I'm wondering what rig would be best for 3/4 lipless cranks, and jerkbaits. I l...
