Re: Connected Feeling
I have curados and t3s, and love both. The only way I can describe the disconnected feeling is like the difference between using your favorite hammer compared to borrowing one. My t3s just seem to "fit". I dont think about how they feel while Im using them. The curados feel like a tool I have picked...

Re: Getting out of fishing.
After growing up fishing small water with whatever tackle I could afford, I ended up with a beach cabin and spending major bucks on beach tackle. No time for fresh water anymore. Came a hurricane, lost cabin and all gear. Didnt have the heart to go thru that again, so ended up with lake place, and s...

Re: Welcome Daiwa!! (& Forum Guidelines)
Diawa customer service goes above and beyond! They just fixed an out of warranty T3 that had been declared "unrepairable" by my local service center. Never say never. They did it, they did it right, and fast, and without charge. Diawa seems serious about taking care of their customers. Thanks to eve...

Re: T3 Ballistic hood repair
Just letting everyone know that I just received my "unrepairable" T3 Ballistic (according to local service center). Diawa, on this site, completely overhauled, repaired, and cleaned my 2 yr old, out of warranty reel. Were it not for a couple of boat hickeys that I remember putting on it, I would thi...

Re: Best Dirty Water Chatterbait Trailer
Baby bush hog if I need a fast/medium retrieve, but on the days thay want it slooow...stick on a baby ribbit! lots of bulk to let you slow the retrieve and the paddling feet just add more vibration to the bait.

Re: T3 Ballistic hood repair
:big grin: You guys are doing your best to make me rethink my opinion of Big Business. It is getting harder every day to find a large company that still practices Customer Service. No matter what happens in the future, I have become more of a Diawa fan, not only for the quality products, but for the...

Re: prop baits
apparently, from all the responses, only you and I use prop baits. grew up with the heddon torpedo and havnt changed. use all sizes and colors, just depends on the day. h2o (academy brand) makes a very affordable, useable bait, usually have to bend the props to get them spinning right out of the pac...

Re: I need help with my T3B
When I first got mine I spooled 17lb florocarbon. Noticed a slight sticking feeling at start of retrieve. It was the line hanging up, but pulling loose under pressure. Went to 14 lb and didnt notice the problem again. Ended up with braid so it wasnt an issue. This reel handles braid really well by t...

Re: T3 Ballistic hood repair
Thank both of you for the response. Am headed to lake in the morning, will get the reel sent in sometime next week. I dont know what the local service centers problem is...other than he makes his money working on trolling motors. I have never taken a reel in for cleaning or repair that i got back in...

Re: T3 Ballistic hood repair
Yes I can, but it will be a few days. Reel is at lake, we will be going this weekend. BTW...my bad luck and disappointment with this reel did not stop me from buying 2 more when I caught them on great sale. I love this reel, its just irritating that I cant get it repaired. Will post pics early next ...

T3 Ballistic hood repair
After a terrible backlash while trying to use a new reel, I warped? sprung? the hood, which closed, but is loose in the closed position. Unless I palm the reel, laying my thumb on the hood, the line tends to not spool end to end on the spool, but bunches in the middle half. Reel was 2 months old whe...

Re: Daiwa T3 after a year
I love my t3 after 3 months of very hard use. My only problem is that I managed to wad up about 50 yds of 14 lb floro whan I snagged another rod during a cast  The resulting snare seems to have warped(?) the "hood", now it still works ok, but it doesnt close down tight and wiggles. Anyone else...
