Re: New Worm Gear Material

We have a new found know it all on our forum. In a short 13 posts he has become an expert in the field of reel manufacturing, and in poor written English, attacked one of the leaders,Bantam 1. May I suggest that Dan adds the genius to his " Ignore this man " list, and continue serving the appreciati...

Re: Citica 100DSV a/r bearing

The BNT2396, and subsequent upgrades, have all been superseded by BNT5021.

They are available.

Best,

Terry.

Re: Shimano ch100 side plate stuck

Shimano makes a wrench that fits this turn key dial, BNT2390. I have one that came with the old gold Chronarch or MG, can't remember which.

Works a treat, and never damaged a dial using this.

Sure Dan can advise.

Re: Reel feel: Smooth vs. Light rotation

Well said Dan. Smooth is different in the hands of one person, and different with others. Subjective issues like this will continue to be around for ever. As for spinning the handle on a baitcaster, it is something that I do not recommend, as the reel was never designed to be used in that manner. Th...

Re: RIP Strewth

Sad news to hear as he frequented a few forums with great knowledge... Does anyone have a picture of Strewth and his real name - as to pay proper respects? I can't find anything at all. Would be nice to lay a name to face. Condolences to family and friends. Professor Scott Sloan , as per Barramaniac.

One of the saddest things to ever happen in the sport of bass fishing. I doubt Long will be bought to book, for the criminal he is.

Why don't you post in the Shimano Product Support forum, and see what Bantam 1 can add.

Re: 16 Mentanium maintenance question

Not supposed to remove the part, as it purely a cosmetic piece, and has no need to be removed.

Simple fix is to add a drop of superglue to each post, and put it back into the holes.

Cheers,

Terry.

Re: Curado e Revision series info

The only other change I noticed, and I may be wrong, is the addition of a washer, BNT4112, under the drag spring washers.

Maybe Australia was different ??

Terry.

I agree with Slazmo.

Workhorse of a reel that will be going strong, long after the K has given up.

Re: Shimano Chronarch 100A, SF, MG turnkey question

The turnkey needs to be aligned in a position where the spring is at the top. On the brake case you will notice that there is a dot, (circle) on the rear. Align the circle with the spring, and the correct position will be achieved.

Cheers,

Terry.
