Re: My little Swedish army, taking these to the grave
I love those little reels. I have a 1500c and 2 2500c reels. I’m in the process of doing some upgrades on them but you know it gets pricey quickly. I have some other round reels including a Lin 10 mars, monoblock, conquest, and a couple millionaires. I still enjoy the nostalgia of the little ambassa...

Re: I didn't hear no bell
I saw those the other day and thought it was a fake since I didn’t see anything on here about it. I’d take the red off but it looks good. It is irritating if they’re currently making these because some of the parts required Daiwa claims have been discontinued with no parts available.

Parts for td-z
I have a couple of td-z frames. I don’t have the internal parts. I was curious if parts for a steez or something else would work. I looked on plat and saw that a lot of the parts have been discontinued. I know it’s a long shot but I figured I’d ask. Thanks.

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Picked this up a few years ago. Just got around to messing with it. Came with 6.8 gears and ZPI bearings. Added tapped driveshaft with clicker kit, new style drag star, Ize factory handle, and Avail knobs. https://i.postimg.cc/mkVmPGVR/68738016-16-C7-4-DD4-8-F4-F-936-FB51985-A2.jpg https://i.postim...

I think maybe if you got the parts for the Calcutta Ocea to convert it to this type drag star you could then use any handle.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $39 for a BFS spool.
I think you can buy the bearing spacer for a PX type R from Daiwa for about 2 dollars and then use the bearings made for that reel with these spools.

Actually it means two people overpaid for their reels.Redlinerobert wrote:Considering this sold for $710, my perfect reel is worth every penny I paid for it.

Re: SV 103?
The real contest is who's going to put the spool into an OG Zillion. This Well you can just put a Steez SV 103 spool in a Zillion with spacers now. It appears to be the same spool looking at pictures. Not the same spool. The difference would be the same difference as an OG Zillion or TDZ 100M vs. a...

Nice. I ordered the gold spool for mine a few months back. I still haven't gotten out and used it. Looking forward to hearing how it performs.

Re: Auction site gems
I told my wife last night I'm betting around $600, possibly more, depending if the right people get involved and "have to have one". The last one on ebay went for $461 and it wasn't in mint nor had the box. Well I think Filipe and Redlinerobert both have more than enough, so it might make it easier...

Re: Monoblock Appreciation Society.
$4k for a Viola? Even I wouldn't pay that. Surprising. Overpaying seems to be your thing. :laugh1: Sometimes you win and sometimes you pay what you have to. In the end it usually evens out. 8-) Lol. I think that listing in the classifieds with all the monoblocks is a little high, but I'd stil...
