When are we gonna get some in Mat Shad???

I'm trying, trust me I'm trying. Its gonna happen at some point. Mat shad is starting to be a stock color in many MB models now. Actually have some Pop X in it and pushing for it in Pop Max . Asked for it in the Gabot as well.

Re: Warranty still available when buying Megabass from eBay?

As previously stated the warranty is in effect ONLY if they are an authorized MB dealer. You can email MB to verify their status as well should you find a seller that you are interested in doing business with.

Re: Megabass Braillist

So would the Braillist make a good 1/2 ounce jig rod(since that what i use 60 percent of the time)? Anyone have a overall weight of the rod? I would love to see the balance point with a reel on it....Im digging the full grip and no foregrip .....one last question, its a different shape reel seat th...

Re: Megabass Aklys

It was the replacement for the Flipping Special. It is surprisingly versatile for its rating and can pull all the duties mentioned. I have flipped/pitched 3/4oz and up with it as well as punching. Great swimbait and umbrella rig rod as well. It does not feel as heavy and as much of a meat stick as t...

Re: Blew up my Aaron Martin Orochi Fliipping Stick

Thanks Mark. I would be willing to pay for an upgrade for a similar action, if they allow that, but doubt I could move backwards in rod grade. I have never had such a sensitive rod. Bronzeback, Mine broke almost simultaneously between the tip and first guide and between guide 5 and 6. So close to w...

If you bought from an USA MB dealer they will swap you out with g2 series. They handle stepping up to next higher series on a case by case basis.

You say the sensitive is good not great?

You will be very happy with the Braillist for that range.

Re: Blew up my Aaron Martin Orochi Fliipping Stick

There are zero XX Flipping Specials left in the system. They will warranty your current rod but you will have to choose a new model. There are some Flipping Specials in the Levante lineup though.

Re: 7.1 or 7.3 ft rod for hollow bodied frogs

The type and amount of cover dictate things more for me. In open water or areas with lighter cover I want something that is not a broomstick. You will get far more action, versatility and have far more accuracy with a rod that is not a broomstick. Using the parameters of your question I don't think ...

Re: How fast is too fast?

I think reel speed has practical limitations. I have no doubt there are people out there who will be able to grind a fish out of heavy cover with a 10.1:1 reel. But those folks can already grind a fish out of anywhere with the reels now available. Bobby Barack can winch a fish out of anything, with...

Re: 16 Destroyer JDM v. 17 USA Destroyer

Same blanks? Please explain further because to my understanding there is no 16 destroyer JDM rod that is equivalent to even 1 model from the 17 US destroyer lineup. Blank material/technology and each rod's specific action/taper are not the same thing. When he says they are using the same blanks, he...

Re: 16 Destroyer JDM v. 17 USA Destroyer

The texture or ribbing of the unfished blank on my faust and super destroyer both (16JDM) are the same. The texture of my FMJ (17USA) is noticeably different than the jdm models. I feel like my super destroyer is more sensitive than my FMJ. My best guess is they are using different graphite. They s...

Yes, they share the same blanks. Different actions obviously but same blanks.

Re: Megabass Flipping ??

Ok so for heavier flipping I was expecting to get a O-xx Flipping special that now replaced by the Aklys. I don't like this rod: handle way too long (18'') and really heavy (weighted handle ... whatever). The Destoyer has no flipping stick (there is a 7'6'' frogging rod). And then I am left with th...
