Re: Have you preordered a mb p5 destroyer?

I assure everyone that we want the rods in as much as Megabass customers want them to arrive as we are all anglers ourselves and want to add to our own arsenals as stock is available once orders are filled. l'm closing in on a year of fishing several models and simply put for me they have been a joy...

Re: Do you trust aluminum gears?

I fish some big fish waters and heavy cover with the new Zillions and have yet to see an issue at all. They get used often and fairly hard.

I broke the tip off my BE2 untangling it from a group of other rods. I can see how that can happen but no other rods have done it. To me they are on the fragile side so just handle them with care and you'll be fine.

How long had you had the rod? Did you buy new from an authorized MB dealer?

Re: Megabass KABT - Breakage Issues?

MB rods with KABT technology have not seen a high breakage rate. In general the breakage numbers have been low and within a normal range.

Re: Have you preordered a mb p5 destroyer?

The good news is that some models will begin shipping to dealers within the next week or so. The bad news is the Flyssa, Addermine and Javelin models will be delayed a bit.

Re: Have you preordered a mb p5 destroyer?

Man you are living the dream working for Megabass! It sounds like these new rods offer the versatility that I was looking for. I always loved the original FMJ but always wished it was a couple inches longer and now it is. I am also considering the Mark 56 after the Tackle Tour review. One of my fav...

Re: Have you preordered a mb p5 destroyer?

I pre-ordered the Jungle seven, BMG and the FMJ. Can't wait to get my grubby paws on them! I have all 3 and I have been very pleased with the versatility of the 3 of them. I think you will be happy with them all. How do you have them already?? Any chance you could give me a review on the jungle 7? ...

Re: Nrx 893c vs Megabass P5 X-bites

Xbites - too soft for solid hook sets with more than an 1/8 oz weight. Superb balance and weight. Sensitive as any rod I’ve owned. Really? I've had no problem with hard hook sets in brush w/3/8 oz. jigs. I wouldn't put a 3/4 oz. jig on it in cover, but zero problems, imo up to 1/2 oz. in cover. Ver...

Re: Daiwa Zillion G 1000 Gear Longevity

I have 8 of these reels. About half of them I have had since their released. They have been used a ton on lakes like Fork, Rayburn and other Texas waters with heavy cover and big fish. Usually with 20lb flouro and 1/2- 3/4oz Texas rigs or jigs as well. They have been put to the test and used on fis...

Re: Project T 22 #6: another Tatula

It'll probably be the US Tatula 80 and 70 SV. The pricing is what I am curious about. I hope they don't pull an Alphas SV/SV105 on us and make the US spec considerably more expensive driving up the JDM prices too as a reaction. If we do get a USDM Zillion HD I hope we get a deeper spool. The Tatula...
