Re: GlX 843C MBR vs Kistler Zbone light medium heavy 7'

I would take the MBR rod for versatility. The Zbone is more of a worm and jig rod.

I have always said a guy could have a versatile 3 rod arsenal using :

MBR 842
MBR 843
MBR 844

Toss in a spinning rod and a true worm and jig rod or something for frogs and you can do about anything.

Re: Daiwa Z: Times Have Changed

Depending on the gear ratio the Zs would be good for moving baits or frogs and lighter swimbait work. They would be too heavy to be an ideal worm and jig reel for me.

Re: Tatula sv vs TD-Z 103hl

Buy the TDZ and mod it as funds allow. You have over 30 spool options. Parts from many other reels platforms will swap. Sure for the RH guys 6:3 is as fast as you can get but I have frogged with 6:3 reels before and it worked just fine. To help mod your TDZ for frogging I would suggest some HH air b...

Lucky craft LV, YoZuri 3d vibe, and xcalibur XR/XRK. For the money the YoZuri is hard to beat. It casts well and gets bit.

Stormtrooper and Bumblebee Pixies!

Finally finished up a few projects minus the TDZ line guides. Still working on getting a few of them. 1. Bumble themed Pixy. Started with a Pearl Yellow Pixy. I then added 6:8 brass gears and carbontex drag, HH bearings internally. Externally the reel received a swept black drag star, a black cast c...
