Re: 1016 BFS Reel

You are probably thinking of the T3 Balistic. The regular T3 1016 never sold for under $100

Re: NRX 9th Year at ICast 2019 / Revamp?

I would say the cosmetics for sure. Do away with the light blue and go another route. Maybe add the full handle MBR models to the group (842, 843, 844). I am not opposed to changing the guides especially if it means a price hike to nearing Conquest money. Blank can stay the same. Maybe add a BFS rod...

Re: TD-Z Owners Guild

Beautiful combo! I have a dressed up TDZ 100m with light blue parts on a new style GLX and it is a perfect match.

Re: DC (Antares, Calcutta, spool tension, distance, etc.)

No experience with those reels but the older Esxence DC can really get after it for distance. I have 2 and they will put a bait out there with the best of them and the ergonomics are good too. You can find a used one for a nice price.

Re: Fun day Winter fishing

Awesome photos of the fish and the gear used to conquer them!

Surprised those smallies were that willing to cooperate for a picture. Sometimes they are more restless than a 2 year old!

Re: Phenix Feather 7'1 L Casting

I have one! What are you particularly wanting to know about the rod? I was curious about the reel seat, if it fishes true to its ratings and the overall quality. The reel seat is something I would have to play with more as I purchased the rod over the winter and we have been locked up so I have not...

Unless I am being paid to be using Shimano or Daiwa exclusively I will continue to buy both! Why limit yourself to just one flavor of ice cream?

Re: G. Loomis MBR 842 GLX

Anything “mag” finesse. I also like it for smaller topwaters like a 1/4 or 3/8 oz popper style bait.

Re: How Do You Keep Your Fishing Closet Organized?

Simple- 20 or so combos on the racks in the garage. 3600 boxes, soft-side cases and big hard boxes all fit on a shelf in the front corner. In spite of all that, I still have stuff strewn all over the garage, on top of the china cabinet, microwave and refrigerator(among other places). I found 4 nib ...

Re: Megabass Destroyer Addermine vs G Loomis NRX 852S JWR

I don’t have the MB rod but I do have the NRX 852. Super versatile if you are just needing an “all rounder”. I heard the MB rod is the same in terms of versatility. There probably isn’t a right or wrong option as you picked two really good performing and versatile high end rods. There are a few on h...

Re: How to post for sale??

Just make sure they are halfway meaningful posts spread out over a reasonable amt of time. i've spread my 80 posts out over 6 years . a couple more years and i'll be there! Hit the gas pedal! I am sure you are good. It is the yahoos that show up on a Monday and by Friday they have 50 posts or more.
