Are you saying braid helps the fish bite your lures more often or it braid helps you detect a bite better?

If its the former please key me in on the secret.

Re: Steez 103 Spool in 100

spools are the same right or left. putting a 103 spool in a 100 steez makes it a 103 steez with a longer handle. The breaking is in the spool's inductor. Any of the 103/105 size TDZ spools will fit as well so do a search b/c there's lots of options. So what your saying is the Magforce V is in the 1...

Re: Just got my STEEZ100HLA and it feels weird..

I bought the same reel, in fact 2 of them, and THOUGHT the exact same thing out of box. I realized that my drag was completely off and the handle was almost free wheeling without spinning the spool. I was in shock rather, until I put two and two together. In addition, the other reel was having issue...

Steez 103 Spool in 100

From my research the 103HA = V spool, Mag V system, better for lighter lines and lures 100Ha = U spool and Mag Z system, better for heavier lines and lures.. I have a 100HLA right now and was wonder if swapping the 103 spool would help to throw lighter baits. I was wondering how much influence the s...

Re: Battle Fish GoPro Video

Your buddy didn't even get phased on that first cast hook up, he showed no emotion as he was tying up. That sort of fishing must be common around those parts. This pretty much trumps the "action photo" thread. High numbers are common out here. We boated over 50 bass the day I filmed that topwater f...

Re: I just Purchased a Sustain FG

I have a similar issue with my 2500. It only happens when the spool is rising from dead bottom. When normally spinning the reel, i can't feel resistance. But I can feel he gears clunking at that spot. I also hear a scraping and clunking noise. When reeling really slow and lightly. I can DEFinitely ...

Re: I just Purchased a Sustain FG

Boy what a bummer. I was almost hoping that the online dealer just accidently "resent" the original reel back to me, but i guess that just isn't the case. I have stripped down sahara's and symetres, but I really don't want to open up the sustain. I noticed that they do PACK the grease. My assumption...

I just Purchased a Sustain FG

I took the leap and just bought a new Shimano Sustain FG 2500. I was rather annoyed when I first did a dry test in my living room with the sustain... In fact I sent it back to the online supplier. This is my message to the dealer. "I just received my Sustain,(thanks for the fast shipping by the way,...
