Re: cotten cordells
I have caught some nice fish on the cotton cordell super spot lipless crank. The half oz black or blue chrome is killer in the fall on any lake with threadfin. Only problem is the stock hooks and spilt rings are crap. I swap out for owner stingers and hyperwires

Kudos to shimano
Bought a shimano spinning reel (symetre fj) with a sticky gear prob. Sent it off to shimano cost me about $6 and 4 weeks later I had a brand new reel at no charge. With most reels that cost that much I would normally eat the cost and caulk it up as a loss. Thanks to this forum I was encouraged to se...

Re: huddbaits dont expect good customer service
Never had problems dealing with huddleston direct. Everyone has to remember huddleston is not some huge overseas company. Ken and Dennis run a small honest operation they are fisherman just like you and I. Bought most of my hudds online or from local retailers. Looks like they raised prices recently...

Re: school me on crankbait n chatterbait
Chatterbait fishing is probably the easiest way to cover water and catch fish. I personally use a casting reel,6'8" MH rod with 14# fluorocarbon. Half ounce and up is how I roll! D&M piranha is the only vibrating jig I throw now days. If using shad color chatters for trailers I use small white/pearl...

Preparing for the spawn...need input
The spawn is on like donkey kong! Every ones favorite time of year to fish. I usually do very well this time of year but for some reason I'm in a fumble this year. Snags left and right losing countless $ of tackle boat probs up the ying yang and the sort. Still haven't caught a bass this year last c...

Just sent a reel in for service
First time Ive sent a reel to shimano (irvine ca) for repair, the reel has the sticky gear problem. Just curious, how long does it typically take to get the reel repaired and returned? Thanks

New drop shot hooks not finesse enough?
With all the new dropshot hooks on the market these days I cant help but to look at some offerings and think there is too much going on around the hook area  Im talking about the "gama swivel shot g finesse", "vmc spinshot" , "blakemore standout". The marketing ploy for these new hooks is the...

Re: mojo glass rods
I have the 7'4" M glass "crankster" paired with a citica e. Fairly quality rod for the price. Tad bit heavy. Fish most of my trebled baits on this rod. This is also my first dedicated crankbait rod. If I had more $ the duckett micro magic crankin rod would be way lighter and nicer than the mojo.
