Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

not that it hasn't been confirmed already by barramaniac, but pics to show the SH has an aluminium gear. https://i.imgur.com/DlKy5dM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/EXEMyrO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/mSidQeY.jpg Thinking the pinion is stainless, but didn't bother to check. Mine came fairly dry out of the box....

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

I saw the pictures that prove the gear isn't aluminum, scrolled down from the provided link and read the comparison of Steez A versus Morethan PE SV TW and he included pictures of both. What are the benefits of bronze versus brass? It looked from the pictures that both reels had a clicking drag. Th...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

Nice find! A big slap in the face for the doubters and misinformed speculators.... As an FYI, in a previous post the author of that teardown speculated that SH weight difference was due to an Aluminum gear. Should we have been smacking him around? https://uo-log.com/morethanpetwreview/ Hyper digige...

This is the 8.6. https://uo-log.com/morethan-tw-pe-overhaul/ Nice find! A big slap in the face for the doubters and misinformed speculators and here is a pic of the 7.1, clearly says Hyper Digigear. https://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/34d4d59fcf0e2f92dd7e4519618ca788/5CC43905/t51.2885-15/e3...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

I have seen pictures . The morethan 7.1 is alloy gears the same as Steez A. The 8.6 model is a brass gear. I call bollocks on that claim. The previous Morethan PE SV TW had marine bronze gears (hyper digigear), there is no way Daiwa would advertise the new model as having Hyper Digigear if it didnt...

"Adopting C6191, which has 1.6 times the strength of duralumin as a drive gear material, it has dramatically improved strength and durability by further increasing the diameter. Here, the shape of the tooth surface was fundamentally reviewed by computer analysis, and a process not allowing micro err...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

The so-called hyper digi gear in morethan pe sv(8:1) is full brass. Mine was very rough out of the box, ended up replacing it with the gearset from zillion tw. I hope it won't be the case with the new morethan. The morethan also comes with metal star drag, that's where extra weight vs steez A may c...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

To all those asking about brass gears - Hyper digigear is Daiwas top tier gearing made of marine bronze. This is one of the key differences that sets the Morethan reels (spinning and baitcast) apart from their siblings.

Bantam, what is the body and rotor material of the Stella FJ? Still magnesium? Aluminum?

Re: SV Spool Inductor

Hey guys just this is how I fixed the stuck rotor issue on my Alphas SV. I pretty much followed this tutorial http://kenken-020412.blogspot.com.au/2013/09/sv-spool-fault-and-remedy_3.html however rather than gluing a thin piece of plastic onto the rotor guide I used Starbrite liquid electrical tape ...
