I hope to see some nice spinning reels in the works with a shallow spool option

I highly doubt it's made in japan. To have 2 plants with the same tooling don't make sense and don't recall that ever happening before.

As Dan said it should work cause the reels are almost identical. The whole setup should only cost you around $30 total

I just did my three d7's yesterday no problem getting a drop of oil in. I use my own blended oil but I use a hot sauce bottle to apply a drop. The bottle has that thin needle applicator.

My only concern with mine is I have one bearing that doesn't spin as freely as the rest.

Both started dry as they said it was able to handle it crap performance. Added shimano drag grease just a light coating nothing changed. Added more grease guess what still the same. I'll never try the upgraded drag washers ever again unless I bought a used reel and didn't know it had the washers. If...

Yes I owned three sets of washers and all gave me what bantam said. To get any drag I had to have it cranked to the max and it was max drag. Anything less and it was like I had nothing.

Waste of money in my mind.

If you really feel there is a drag issue send it in to shimano to have it looked at.

yep i never cared for the 200's just to big for my liking until the E series.

Hope things come out different as i dont want to have to buy abu's or diawas and as i said before happy i took advantage of the closeout deals. Also hoping the chronarch is done right

man i hope the citica doesnt go away. Ever since the D series in the 100 size the citica has been an amzing reel for the price point.

Looks to be just a change to justify making a product with a different origin of production. Hope I'm wrong but loving the fact I bought some closeout chronarchs and curados.
