Re: Flick Shake Advice

Which versions of worms to use? Colors? Size? What is the best jighead to use? Best weight to use and to match with certain size worms? Normally I love experimenting with all the variables to find the perfect combination but I just have too many new techniques to try this year to spend the time and...

Kirisame bait strategist looks sweet. Longer BFS style rods are always hard to come by. Glad to see Megabass pump one out. Even better that it's the carbon fiber style handles.
+1. That one looks sweet.

Any word on when these could be available?

Re: OG's vs copies

What are your opinions on copied baits? For reference not what Spro and Strike king did where they licensed or had rights from original companies to make copies. It seems to be the nature of fishing. The Senko is on the short list for most copied baits ever. Rad Lures had the original chatterbait t...

Re: Designo Leben Torque Tune dlt-610mhrst 4s

I don’t have this rod. I would get this rod if the opportunity presented itself. It sounds like an ultimate treble bait rod-squarebills, jerkbaits and such. Not really designed for trebles, even though it has a deeper bend. The 4s represents the speed of the tip section. 2s is better served for mov...

Re: Ultra Finesse Light Spinning

F2.5-622tis Spin Elseil II: 6'11" Light, fast taper, 4-12lb, 1/16-3/8oz I use this one as a light spinning rod. I like the extra length of the rod. I use 6 lb. flouro with it (Vanquish 2500 reel). The sensitivity is outstanding and the taper goes from fast to regular, which I think helps in landing ...

Re: P5 ZCE versatility

I'm looking for an all around medium rod for a variety of techniques, primarily like a senko, small plastics, small keitech, some poppers, etc. I would like a rod that has similar action to a Robyn's 703 but higher end. Will the ZCE be a good all around medium choice? I know people say it's a trebl...

Re: Backlash Japan

I have ordered from there a couple of times. I remember them offering EMS/DHL international shipping that seemed similar/inline to other JDM retailers, so you shouldn't need to pay the extra that a snipe service costs.

Re: How Many Lures from One Company?

Speaking of lures that I really don't want to lose, I just lost one this morning. It's a little popper that I bought, when I went to Japan about 30 years ago. It's been great, and I can't find used ones. What sucked was the fish wasn't very big, probably 3 ~ 4lbs, but it went to sticks. Too bad. ](...

Re: Gan Craft White Noise

Thank you for the reply. I read your review and it looks like a rod that I want to check out and maybe compare to P5 Tequila Baccarat--for an all purpose rod for up to medium sized swimbaits. Then again, I have a Super Red Demon that I really like, so I probably "don't need" either rod. But yeah, fo...

Gan Craft White Noise

I am aware of a recent limited White Noise rod that I believe is a limited edition of the Dead Sword (or at least the rod ratings are similar). What is the difference between the limited White Noise model and the "regular" Dead Sword? Different blank materials/guides/etc? Also, I am aware of an olde...

Re: How Many Lures from One Company?

Favorite hardbait company? Megabass for me. I'm afraid to count how many lures I have from them, both in current use as well as new in the package/backups.  Second would be either Lucky Craft or Zoom WEC. I like the balsa baits as they can have a slightly different action than today's (...

Re: No Confidence in XXXXX?

People are all different. I thought it's very interesting, and that's why I started this thread. I've probably caught over 5,000 bass with deep diving crankbaits, including a dozen over 7lbs (never caught a 10+lbs with crankbaits, though). One time, I caught 5 fish in the first 5 casts, so I starte...

Re: Balsa Lures

The reason why I don't use them all time is just because most of them are hand made, and no longer available I'm just afraid of losing them. Yeah, I don't mind you call me chicken, but think about it. Of course, a good lure retriever/knocker will pay for itself many times over. But yes, it's painfu...

I've got 3 RAID rods.

1 Spinning

2 Casting - Joker and the Baltaro
Tell us about the Joker and Baltaro. I only know of them from the brief description on a site selling them.

All around rods? Technique specific? How would them compare to the MB P5 line or the Shimano Exprides?

Re: Megabass's Unheralded Spark Shad Swimbait

For the Decoy Makisasu Weighted worm hook, I am 99% this is the hook that I have where the weight can slide on the hook shank for placement where you want it (at work, can check when I get home if it matters). Mustad makes one like that... covered that in the writeup of the Yamamoto Kickin Zako The...
