Re: High end JDM rod recommendations

Preach! That goes for a lot of JDM rods, I think. Versatility is King. My beloved Major Crafts are the same way, especially the 66M/R, 610M/R, 67MH/RF, & 70MH/RF. Really, every rod in the series is as adept with moving baits as it is bottom contact baits within its rating and they're all lightweigh...

Re: High end JDM rod recommendations

Shimano Poison Ultima 66M (Versatile). This rod is "it" in terms of versatility which the OP asked about. I will literally start with a topwater bait, switch over to a swimming senko/MB Dark Sleeper and finish with something texas rigged/jig as the sun gets higher. I have little doubt that it would ...

Re: Cost to ship a rod is lunacy

I still don't understand how people ship rods for 20$. I shipped two rods <7'4" for 45$. Bronzefly stated that all shipping companies changed their policy, and items over X length will be hit with massive charges. Depends on what you have access to. I have access to a good fedex account through wor...

Re: Evergreen Super Stallion

I don't tournament fish, I don't need a rod for every different type of lure I own. If I could scroll back 18 months, I would have only bought the best of the best, even if that meant having only few combo's. You, me and probably 90% of us on these forums. I disagree slightly on the "good val...

Re: Evergreen Super Stallion

I just got my first Evergreen rod the Kaleido Stingray 66 and am super impressed. By today's standards it would be a little heavy for its power but wow is the workmanship on this rod fantastic and it has the "it" factor in spades. Perfect for small jigs, ned rigs, and things like that as well as be...

That's it. Hope I like it.
It's a different in some respects to the TKLC (full cork version). I have both rods. The TKIC feels a touch stiffer and the two rods load a bit differently. I haven't noticed any differences in sensitivity--both are excellent.

Re: Issues with Tackle Warehouse

TW lists dates for when out of stock items will be available based upon what the manufacturer tells them (as nearly every site). Yeah, that leads to disappointment when that date gets pushed back. I too don't order items that are out of stock due to this (especially for new items that will often hav...

Re: Japan Lure Shop Question?

Add another 110 gift here as well--got an Antares + some goodies.

To add another ditto, I've ordered from JLS several times, shipping sent EMS and I have it in 3-5 days.

Re: Forgive me daiwa

I luv my daiwas but I had to get a Shimano bantum that's a wicked reel All you need to do now is put it on a MB rod to cause some controversy. :evil22: While I prefer Shimano over Daiwa I do like some of the Daiwa reels as well. :-$ I put the Bantam on a MB Evo Diablo and it feels very connected so...

Re: MB jerkbait rod?

Thanks for the info, After talking to Gary. I end up going with a Megabass F3-68ti Ultimate Griffon. Paired with a Steez SV TWS 7.1 Can't wait to get the rod, will be my first Evoluzion C40 rod. Awesome combo. The Evo’s are great rods. Another MB jerkbait rod if you need more than one/a little more...

Re: Some stuff new on digitaka

Any ideas on release dates? The Antares looks great--curious to see how the new technology going into their flagship low profile baitcaster is. IF, they've trimmed the weight a bit, it will be hard not to get one in each gear ratio. ;)

Reading this thread makes me feel better.

I’ve done the usual that’s been listed a few times in this thread: phone, rods and pliers galore.

Re: Three 6' JDM Destroyers walk into a bar.....

Thank you sir. In my travels of trying to find anything I could on the Criffhanger I found some good information here from the way back days. If memory serves and don't hold me to this MHood posted that the Criffhanger was stiffer than the CR that you mention. He also posted a link to a video somet...
