Re: New Megabass Destroyers

No, I haven’t owned a SD model. I almost got one of the 2016 JDM models earlier this year, but decided to wait after seeing that a new Destroyer line would have one. I like the feel of the carbon handle—reminds me of the Arms Super Leggera series. I’ll post some more thoughts if it works out to fish...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

Rods came yesterday. The usual great customer service from TTT. Got the Dark Sleeper and Super Destroyer models. Slick rod covers. Rods look fantastic and I was a bit surprised with how "thin" the blanks are near the reel handle. Looking forward to fishing with them a bit in the next few days. if u...

Re: Braid causing gear wear?

This kind of stuff will be even more common because of shimano's aggressive cost-cutting philosophy. They aren't interested in making reliable fishing tackle anymore, lowering product quality is lucrative, since the backlash from it still low. Well, that strategy only works in the really short run. ...

Hopefully a made in the USA version.
They already make that--the regular Zman bait with crappy components is made in South Carolina.

Re: Ned Rig CASTING only

Shimano Poison Ultima BFS w/Calcutta BFS reel. 12 lb. Sunline braid to a 6 or 7 lb. Sunline Flouro leader.

I like the Picasso Aaron Martens Rhino hooks w/the Missle Baits Ned Bomb. Also, the Yamamoto Gary Rig hook w/a 3 inch Senko (or a 5" Senko cut in half when fish have torn it up).

Re: Best lipless crankbait in da business

Discontinued, but I've caught the most bass using the Lucky Craft LV RTO 150.

There was a an older Cultiva lipless that I can't find that was near magic as well.

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

i'm in a dilemma with these rods i have two sv 103s that i want to get rods for and am gearing towards the destroyer p 5s. im in need of a good dock rod so im thinking the super destroyer would be good for pitching and skipping jigs ? Re: Heavy drop/down shot?

Used regularly out here out West... on the CA Delta, baits are presented in drop shot form on a flipping rod. We call it the Bubba-Shot ;) I've heard that term before. :D Looking to try that out--I drop shot a lot using light line, but I'm thinking the "bubba-shot" would be effective on some of the...

Re: First BFS Baits

Another vote for the MB Baby Pop-X.

I've had success this year using a Fish Arrow Spinner J. I rig it with a 1/8 oz. Keitech Super Round jig head with a 3" Keitech Easy Shiner for my BFS setup.

Re: Heavy drop/down shot?

Are you using longer/bigger worms like a Zoom Trick Worm? Or creature baits?

With the heavier line, do you also use heavier drop shot weights?
