Re: Three 6' JDM Destroyers walk into a bar.....

Thank you sir. In my travels of trying to find anything I could on the Criffhanger I found some good information here from the way back days. If memory serves and don't hold me to this MHood posted that the Criffhanger was stiffer than the CR that you mention. He also posted a link to a video somet...

I just ordered a bunch of those as well as some OSP Hunts along w/ some. Evergreen IR jigs. Looking forward to getting them in the next week.

What trailers do you like for OSP zero one jigs?

Agree w/Bass1980.

Great reel, shallow spool option makes it easy to use lighter lines. I have one and wish that I could find another--but they are quite pricey on that auction site.

Aldebaran BFS XG vs. Daiwa SV Light LTD

I need some help deciding on a new BFS reel. I have an Aldebaran BFS XG and was wondering how it compares to a Daiwa SV Light LTD. Anyone fish with both? Or, do you have a reel that you like better? I would be primarily fishing w/ 1/8 oz. baits and down to 1/16 on occasion. I don't think that I'd be...

Re: 2 Piece JDM Rods

The type that insert into the handle are stellar. You will have no worries. Agree with this. X7’s are at the top of the list for most sensitive Megabass Rods, and the longer ones are all 2 piece inserted in the handle. Still my favorite series from them by far. Dom +2. The MB rods that I have where...

Or Ebay.

Looks like the stores have been getting LC lures back in stock over the last month, so I'd imagine that that color will be available soon as opposed to being discontinued.

Re: Megabass Evoluzion Diablo F5 1/2-68 Question

It has a medium-fast taper and is supposed to be an all-around rod. I’ve used it for topwater, flukes and senkos often in the same day. Given its versatility, it is very, very good at a number of techniques (especially moving baits). I prefer a faster action typically for jigs (assuming you are talk...

Some rubbing alcohol and/or a magic eraser will clean that cork up.

If you find a Simoom, pull the trigger. I did earlier in the spring and that rod has been a lot of fun to fish senkos, neko rigs, ned, etc. with.

Yes, the X7 series are really a fantastic set of rods (each one are amongst my favorites). I hope that MB builds on a similar blank in the future.

Re: Buying rods thru buyee/yahoo jp

Yes, I am a slow learner. As I mentioned in my earlier reply, I would only use them for something I couldn't find elsewhere. Well, I found a rod I've wanted for a while and got it for a much cheaper price than I would on ebay or if someone was selling one in the classifieds. The shipping was $...

Re: Evergreen Inspirare RS rods

Thanks for the details, this helps me out a lot to make a final decision on this rod. It sounds like the egoist is exactly what i am looking for. Is there any differences between the black and tournament versions other than one grip being cork and the other eva foam? Im guessing the cork handle mig...

Re: Evergreen Inspirare RS rods

Thanks for the info on the egoist! Sounds like it would be good for power. Do you think it has the guts to pull 1/2oz spinnerbaits or 1/2 swim jigs with trailer through the weeds? Im just thinking versatility here, maybe this rod can do more than just bottom contact. I do have a MB diablo fastmove ...

Re: Evergreen Inspirare RS rods

Hi jmb27 - how do you like that EG egoist ? I am thinking about acquiring one of these and wanted to know if it is any good at bottom contact, jigs and t-rigs in the 3/16 to 3/8oz range? I would also want it for many other techniques as well. Is it really a "heavy" as stated in the specs ...
