Re: New Curado 70 mgl K

I’m glad they kept the original body style of the 70 as it’s probably one of the most comfortable reels for my hand. MM gears, better spool and a few extra bearings is a worthy upgrade. I’ll be getting one to fit in between the aldebaran 30 and Metanium.

How's the balance of the X-bites with the met???
On the lock nut. For a 7-2 5.5 power it’s pretty damn good. Definitely Floats. Btw my Met is JDM and weighs in at 6.1oz.
That is excellent for a rod that light with that length and power! Thanks for the pic =D>

Re: Do you mind Daiwa going full Made In Thailand?

If the QC is the same, then it really shouldn't matter. I'd like to think that a company like Daiwa wouldn't let it get out the door and hit the market. It will be there collapse of reputation if so. Nobody here is going to accept it, however the general consumer will, and likely won't know any bet...

Re: New Daiwa reel?

The new 2020 CT is actually larger and heavier than the regular tatula 100 now so why is it named the CT?? Is it going to be a cheaper version? If so shouldn't it be named the XT like the cheaper rod versions???

Re: New Daiwa reel?

Notice at the bottom of the daiwa page it says “be earth friendly”...

I guess that’s their plan with the tatula: Reduce, reuse recycle...

Re: I don't use spinning gear at all. Do you?

I have a total of 2 spinning combos, one is for my little girl to use.

My only spinner setup I use is for UL fishing. 6'3" MC days UL super fine solid tip rod with a shimano soare 500s reel. Super fun combo that compliments my BFS stuff.

Re: Major craft JDM warranty / tip replacement

Thanks, was able to order through Digitaka. Would have been nice if MC USA at least responded to my email. Guessing they are help up due to COVID 19. Two different animals....plus Major Craft America does not sell the Crostage Mebaru. I have broken 2 high end Major Craft rods and just had to eat it...

Re: Alphas TW to get a deeper spool?

Also keep in mind that the 28 and 30mm spools are much more narrow that the 31mm pixy and 33mm og alphas spools.

I think 30mm spool is what it’s going to be for a non AIR version.

Just added the MC days 6’9” MH that comes in at 3.55oz and the 7’ heavy that comes in at 4.0oz. Excellent feel and balanced on both models.

Re: What BFS reel to get?

The steez air looks interesting but it's very pricey. The Steez AIR is pretty incredible. I can cast down to 1/8 on the Steez CT pretty well, but obviously the Steez AIR has much better finesse capabilities. I haven't used the BFS spools for the Steez CT, but have heard they are impressive. My Stee...

Re: What BFS reel to get?

Define light lures, are you looking to cast 1/32, 1/16,1/8oz??? For 1/8oz on up the millionaire ct, alphas ct, steez ct and aldebaran 30mgl reels are great out of the box. The bfs spools available for the ct reels are excellent and can cast super light stuff. I have the aldebaran bfs and I can go do...

Re: Majorcraft msx

I haven’t had the MSX line but I’ve had the ms-1 American model rods and have 4 of the new days JDM line. The ms-1 line is a China made rod while I believe all the others are made in Vietnam. Build quality has been spot on with both lines. The ms-1’s that I had were the 7’ medium finesse and the 7’5...
