Re: Samurai Tackle Order
I ordered a rod from Japan through Fedex, ended up paying over $150 in custom fees... adding that onto the already heavy price was quite a blow...

Re: Bad day to be a frog
I remember reading an article awhile back about Bass, among other fish, having a coating over their scales that protects them from bacteria. Allowing the fish to flop around on the sand probably lowers it's chances of survival quite a bit.

I do this, those jigs are killer, just going to have to look pretty hard to find 2" swing impacts, I think their only available in Domestic Japan. Been using the Gary Yamamoto 2" grubs recently.PittsBoy wrote:Micro jig keitech with 2'' trailer (swing impact, berkley power nymph, Reins RVS...)

Fun! Is that an old norries rod? Afaik they still use those style foregrips It's from SuperStrike (Smith). Sometimes I want to have a Vagabond Gun Rod as well. So nice. =P~ http://www.lure-fly.com/vagabond/actionrod/gunrod/gunrod.html Where can you buy these? I'm very much into vintage design.

I remember going through the early forums and found a user by the name of Boonethelunkerlander, really reminded me of myself being young and so into fishing!

Any UL favourite lures for River Smallies?
Been doing wonders lately with the tiniest of lures on my Bait-Finesse combo, wondering if there are any great lures I should know about!

Re: Favorite jigs?
I really like the lunker city UL jigheads, very sharp hooks. Also like to find painted jigheads whenever I can as the colour can really make a difference, especially when the water isn't all that clear. For a trailer, I have yet to find a better one than the 2" grubs from Gary Yamamoto, they're kill...

Re: redneck icast best of show lol
Hey now....what ever it takes to get on the water! As a youngster I fished the CA delta in a 9' jon boat with 2.5 HP Mercury engine or a 11' BPS Bantam Pond Prowler with 4HP. It's what we could afford and I fantasied one day owning a Ranger or Champion boat. Fast forward 20 years, I own that fancy ...

I love the Type-X frogs! They are so fun to use on light tackle for LMB! Very nice keeping your special lure(Pop-X). Lures like those always have a lot of sentimental value.
