Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise

Remove any grease from the spool pin. Sorry guys but that is bad info with our reels. The grease will fly off once you cast anyways then you are left with grease on the spool or pinion gear which will slow down your cast. You want the spool shaft and center of the pinion gear clean of grease and oi...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise

Could be gears but again, very hard to tell. I can barely hear much sound in the video. The sound I do hear though sounds pretty rough retrieve wise. Was thinking it could be the pinion slots could be worn but adding grease to the spool pin is what stops that temporarily. The rattling really is remi...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise

It’s really hard to hear much in the video but it sounds alot play in the pinion and spool shaft pin. Put a little grease on the spool pin tips and see if that helps the noise. I had a very similar issue on a daiwa 50th. The pinion was not being fully seated through the bearing cause the spool pin t...

Re: Chicagoland Fishing Show

I don't see them on the exhibitor list.

Side note..for anybody that knows Lee's global tackle in the Chicago area...do they sell hedgehog and/or ZPI products? I don't see them on the website but they are a "JDM" shop. Be cool to pick some stuff up at the expo.

Re: Daiwa maintenance turnaround time?reel returned-still br

They sent me a new reel. They were nice enough to put my flushed/shieldless bearings into the new reel but the moron who did it didn't put everything in place under the handle correctly resulting in clicking on the retrieve. I fixed that one myself. They assured me that the second reel would be sent...

Re: Daiwa maintenance turnaround time?

Just an update to this awesome fiasco. I just today received the reel in the mail. The hood was a tad tighter but still had some play. Right there I knew they didn't fix it. The paperwork sent /w the reel said they replaced the tws and the hood and gave it a courtesy cleaning even though I asked the...

Daiwa maintenance turnaround time?reel returned-still broke

I sent a T3B in to Daiwa because the hood started to fail 2 weeks ago. Tracking said they received it Aug. 29. Talked to some incompetent blowhard named Toby on Thurs. Aug 4 to see how things are going. Guy said he couldn't find anything about me reel and would call me back in 15 minutes after he go...

Stradic CI-4 1000 issue

I use this reel during the warmer months for finesse worm fishing/dropshotting but more importantly it's my reel for jig pitching walleye in the spring/fall and use 6/2 832 or 10/2 super 8 line. I've noticed that the reel, when reeling, feels "tight" and not as "free" feeling as ...
