Re: New Tatula Elite Reel

Hmmm. This thing makes quite a racket during fast retrieval - back it goes...... I'd like to see a video of this racket you speak of. you've had countless reels do the same thing but nobody else has an idea what you're referring to. Not saying you don't hear anything but what you might be hearing c...

Re: Daiwa reels - gaudy or sexy?

I suppose I should feel lucky that I don't know how much (or how little?) is gained by swapping spools on reels. So far all of my reels are bone stock. I could see the benefit of adding grease, maybe a bearing here or there where possible, though. I'm trying to keep my setups pretty minimal since I...

Re: Daiwa reels - gaudy or sexy?

Lol...this is TT. There's threads dedicated to showing off "gaudy" reels. If you want plain jane looking stuff, Amazon has that.

Re: ICAST 2019

Well the tackle trap has the new coastal SV already and its on its way, now time to sell a few things please report back when you get it. I'm getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger. Trying to decide what I want to sell to use it for. my general concern is the spool is TOO deep but I can't...

Re: ICAST 2019

This is one bad dude. Sorry for the crappy pics , I didn't take my camera , just my phone. IMG_5931.jpg IMG_5932.JPG IMG_5933.JPG IMG_5934.JPG IMG_5936.JPG Dumb question: Is the coastal on the new steez ct frame with a different side plate or is the picture just kind of ‘squeezed? There are no dumb...

Re: Is the Steez SV TW currently the best low profile bass reel on the market?

The SV TW and the A after a spool swap are the best reels I've personally ever used. Not necessarily because of performance but because of ergonomics and how smooth they are. Performance wise, they are top notch but I've used reels and spools that perform, casting wise, similar.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

I am curious, do we have spool weights for comparison for the Alpahs ct sv Millionaire ct sv Steez ct sv Spool of Alphas ct sv weights 9.4 gram: Alphas ct spool weight.JPG And because SLP works RCSB spool should be significantly lighter (maybe 15%) I naturally ordered it. Also that might be a sligh...

Re: Is the Steez SV TW currently the best low profile bass reel on the market?

Why can't I defend my opinion? No one else is. An old boss told me one time "toot your own horn because no one else will." And he was right. Here we go again...I didn't say you couldn't bud. But if you're going to post, for whatever reason, that a "major reel manufacturer calls forums helpless" and...

Re: Is the Steez SV TW currently the best low profile bass reel on the market?

LMG posts are brash, sure..but he goes out of his way to be helpful. And I suppose you are also saying I have not been helpful? A person who does it professionally has never helped anyone here. I get it. Shame. This is exactly mine, and everybody elses point about your "help". I said LMG was ...

You really bring this site down and drive off good people and forum owners should be more careful than this. no, he doesn't. So you think launching personal attacks does not bring down a forum? You just outed yourself as one of them. Supporting a civility rule violator is very telling- so I just ad...

You are showing everyone here why people like me should not even post on forums like this You have to realize by now you've been muted by a lot of people....take a hint or tone it done like 19 levels. Re: TD-Z drag issue

There's a tiny flat washer that sits right above the bearing resting on top of the AR bearing and below the clicking drag. If you don't have this washer, tightening down the drag will cause the reel to do what yours is doing. Worth looking into.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

There has been a lot of talk about how the Steez CT performs. The insides overall are pretty much the same as the Steez SV TW. Biggest change would be with the main gear. It has ridges in the inner rim of the main gear that a spring loaded pin rubs on to create the buzz sound when the drag pulls ou...

Assuming you can still get them, it's +/- 20$. I've replaced a couple 1016 hoods that were either 14$ or 24$.
