Re: New Tatula100

http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=79538 Size comparisons between different reels and a few user reviews found there. I like the reel. It's an incredibly smooth reel with and without a load. Like a lot of Daiwa reels I've purchased as of late, the spool bearings needed one hell of a ...

Re: How are the new Rapala BX Brat?

Used both models this year. It is one of the smallest crankbaits I've ever used. It's the size of a WEC square Z. Doesn't do anything special. It's pretty boyant and held up to the rock wingdams i ran them through. smallies seemed to like them though the only colors i have are craw.

Re: What's next for Daiwa...

Yeah, no pun intended but I almost "bit" the hook he was throwing out. With a name like that and claiming "leaps" ahead of Daiwa I have decided to let the troll go hungry. Must not be the most fresh on tech either, because Daiwa braking definitely retracts from magnets. One of t...

Re: What's next for Daiwa...

Just found it ironic that magnetic controls aren't so bad if they are necessary for DC reels (and Shimano's Finesse Tune Brake). Shimano's finesse tune brake is for sure less innovative than SV magnetic reels. I do agree though somewhat and wish Daiwa would innovate more, rather than "refresh&...

Re: What's next for Daiwa...

Just going by history, I'd assume we see a Tatula 100 Type R which will be identical to the just released tatula 100 but /w a lighter spool, different handle/frame accents.

Re: Tackle Warehouse discounts?

The only thing except from TW sales is Megabass and even then you get a discount on certain baits. If it's on the excluded list, you just have to call them and they will give you the discount. Yes, electronics are part of the sale.

Re: Gear replacements

Noise can be fixed. If a reel gets noisey and wasn't before, there's a reason and it can be fixed fairly easily. Feel is the only reason I've replaced gears. I want my reels to feel butter smooth. Off the top of my head I've only had to replace 2 sets of brass gears and 4 aluminium/aluminium (non br...

Re: Daiwa Zillion SV TW

Odd. I didn't have the same experience. I put ZPI bearings on both the steez SV spool and zillion sv spool and felt that the steez spool performed better in the steez A.

Re: Steez A spool options?

I’ve had to replace one set of steez sv tw gears after 2 1/2 years of use /w 20# fluoro pitching jigs into wood. Knew it was only a matter of time. Love the reel so much i didnt mind replacing the gears. Feels brand new again. 3 others (sv and a models) still feel brand new after about the same tim...

Re: Daiwa cracking down on wholesalers/private dealers?

New Tatula 100s are already on ebay for 109$. All RH though so far. The LH models are in stock now at TW and other small shops I follow on IG. Shouldn't be too long before the LH hit ebay for a discount.

Re: MajorCraft Speedstyle 610+MH?

I’m no familiar witht the PTS reel seat. Looking at it, it looks just like am ECS seat or am I missing something? It's different - wider, not as comfortable for smallish hands. Just my opinion of course ^What Mark said^. I sold the Speedstyle rod I had specifically because of the reel seat. I like ...
