Re: Star Drag Compatibility

TDZ drive shafts are shorter and that's why you're having issues. Some star drags are easier to work on there than others. Takes quite a bit of tinkering to get some to work.

Bo, the drive shaft is too short to allow the square nut and spring under the star.
Have you tried this Tim?
I just did out of curiously. There's minimal threads available for a nut to grab. A screw in JDM style nut would allow it to work though.

Re: SLP Works Zaion Screwless

Not sure about the Td-Z but it 100% fits and functions perfectly on an OG Zillion and SV103. I've had/have it on both.

Re: Before I Buy Spool Question

Sorry I got lost in the thread and forgot we were talking about a T3. It's been a couple years since I've had to work on a T3 but if I remember correctly, mag 3d mag brake rings don't work like your traditional daiwa magnetic braking where the indents line up. I believe the outter ring moves in and ...

No the 3 settings on the bottom of the side plate work fine,it's the 20 click dial on the palm plate that is half broken
If the magnet came loose yes you can glue it in just make sure you line up the indentations in the correct setting before you do it

Re: Before I Buy Spool Question

that looks to be just a Steez A spool /w an RCS logo. similiar to the RCS g1 1016sv is the same as the steez svtw . It's not an improvement over the RCS1016 that comes stock in the t31016. I wasn't a big fan of the Steez A spool in general. I replaced them /w the SVTW steez spool and zillion SVtw sp...

Re: Steez SV TW frame swap

The middle frame is only 49.99. You'll also have to purchase the side plates (both palm and handle side). The palm side plates don't swap. They lock differently. You'll also need to source the locking mechanism and any other parts associated with it for the SVTW. Internally ,they're nearly identical ...

Re: Steez SV TW frame swap

wild we've got to the point where 6.7oz reels are being thought of as too heavy.

You're better off selling the A and purchasing an SVTW.

If you can find a TDZ100m spool, I would opt for that. any 36mm spool will work. HLC would be a good option, too.

Re: Alphas sv105 vs Alphas ct sv

I feel the CT is a smoother retrieving reel. SV105 itself was a very smooth reel but the CT just seems cleaner. The spool definitely starts up a heck of a lot quicker than the 105, too. I like both reels for different things personally.

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

https://japanlureshop.com/daiwa-20-tatula-sv-tw.html Is this a new reel? I can't tell if it's based off the 100 frame? Yes, it's new. one JDM retailer told me it was due dec 20th. now it's due in Jan. Yes, it's the new 100 frame tatula size. Does anyone have any info about when this will be release...
