Re: New Ray's DIY handle

The CF ones are cheap and all but look too much like a ZPI knock off. These look interesting. that's my draw to them. What I'm apprehensive about is , with all the porting, that the aluminium isn't very strong and will bend out. The design doesn't bother me, it's the unknown manufacturer. I would a...

300-350

300 is probably a pipe dream for a Mint Jdream , I'd expect it to be 350+.
I haven’t seen any go for less than $350
Theres been a few gems to quick at around the 300 mark but that's why I said it's a pipe dream.

Re: Tdz100 spool broke part question

I do. PM your info. As to how I ended up with it, my wife ran over a TDZ of mine some years back. I had laid it down in the yard and was dragging new line off to reel up and get the line twist out. She backed up way further than normal, off the concrete, and crunched it in the grass. :cryin...

Re: Tdz100 spool broke part question

I think I have one in my parts bin. If I can find it, you can have it. One thing, though, is the metal rotor intact and not warped or otherwise damaged? nope, it's still perfect. I honestly don't even know how that part cracked. If you had this unicorn part, that would be super. I'd hate to just to...

Re: Basszone handle knobs

You could use a drop of blue lok tite to keep the screw in place once you get the play out of the knobs. Once dried it should keep the screw from backing out. thought about that too but once i get the play out, the knobs dont want to spin like when you have too many shims under a bearing . once i b...

Make your own Taco washers by pressing a shim washer over a shaft of a thin screw driver.
Where would I put them? I understand the concept but where would they go in the knobs?

Re: Basszone handle knobs

Ha, glad I'm not the only one. I've tried removing the shields, shimming both sides of each bearing, using 2 bearings on top or bottom, shorter screws...can't get em to work unless I loosen the heck out of the screw.

Basszone handle knobs

Does anybody know of any way to make these knobs work with a standard daiwa handle? I put different knobs on the basszone but want to use the knobs on another reel. The ID of the bearing used is the same but the OD is different and the height is just a hair taller. Using the bearings that came /w th...
