Re: Cold versus warm water jerkbaits

I picked up some Berkley Stunna in both the 112 and the 112+1 and have fished them this winter. They are designed to slow sink, but it is a really slow sink in sub 50 degree water. They have caught fish for me, better than my 110's.

Re: Cheap alternative to DT6

I see they are $7.29 at TW. Hard to get cranks for much less than that. You can always wait for the next sale, and you can get them for probably 15% off the regular price. Landbigfish also sells them and they have sales all the time, get on their email list and they'll notify you when a sale comes up.

Re: Lucky Craft Co in trouble?

They certainly have made a lot of changes in their lineup, hard to keep track of what they are up to. I really like the color "Japan Craw" in the D series cranks - I am going to miss it.

I am really liking my GLX 821S walleye series jig rod for light stuff. Don't let the "walleye" designation fool you, it works well for bass also.

Yellow Magic Havana. Walks easily, comes with good hooks, casts a mile.

Re: Jackall Chan Wake

Fished it for a bit a couple of days ago. It throws well, which you would expect for a bait that weighs 7/8 oz. Has a good rolling wake action, rear prop spins freely. Had a 12" bass grab it. Still a little early for prime top water fishing around here, so I didn't fish it a lot. But, I liked what I...

Re: Jackall Chan Wake

I caught some pond fish recently on the new Jackall Chan Wake and as a wake bait fan, I really like this one. It's easy to slow crawl across the surface and it's large enough to have some drawing power to attract bigger fish. It reminds me of a longer, thinner Deps Buzzjet which is another favorite...

A great rod for sure, I have 2 of them. Pretty much use them for light jigs and t-rigs.

Re: Spy baits who's using them, and what brands?

Only time I have had luck with them was when the bass were busting top water in the spring. Threw it at schooling bass and they bit it. But, they'll bite a lot of stuff in those conditions. I like the way they look, but just haven't had much luck with them. I'll keep trying.
