Re: Rod/reel for kayak fishing for east coast striper and bl
Happy to spend a bit more as i think I will enjoy this or is the pflueger decent enough? What is a step or two up from this? What size reels should I be looking at? Is 30 or 40 size okay? I will likely start with a spinning outfit and then get a casting. I tend to prefer fishing lightweight fishing ...

Rod/reel for kayak fishing for east coast striper and blues
I just got a kayak and though I am familiar with fw fishing for lm/sm bass when it comes to the salt I am somewhat clueless...actually completely. I have searched and searched the forums far and wide and nothing definitive comes up. I like to fish artificials only so no live bait for me. Can anyone ...

Re: E21 at ICAST
Ken, Spoke to you a short while back and you sold me a puls'r rod. This was about a week before you left Airrus. I finally got the rod after a very long wait. The wait was worth it and look forward to what comes next. I am actually holding off buying any more puls'r rods now that you are no longer w...

Re: Slider method
Using the slider is not so much a method as a 'way of life'. The message is slow down, listen, watch, be prepared. Anyway. The real method is to do nothing. I am new to slider fishing and did a bunch of research. Bought the book and video, posted in other forums. What came back to me is at the most ...

Re: Finesse rod help?
Got the BPS bionic blade one piece (i had ordered a two but will keep the one) 6'L rod and tg2500 reel today. the reel is BIG and I will probably keep it for heavier weight fishing techniques...jerkbaits etc. I did order a daiwa ondine 2000size from cabelas for 49.99. A guy in my bass club said I go...

There is a sale on a stradic and rod combo at Bass Pro shops for 129.99. Maybe that would make a difference.

Re: Don't Buy from Bass Pro Online
I got the deal. A deal is a deal when money is exchanged. As they say, you snooze you lose. The reel is great but big. Cabelas has a sale on a daiwa ondine 2000 size for 49.99. It is backordered but i placed an order anyway. when you see something like that and think it is too good to pass up, dont....

I had not heard of any problems with the super slow oscillation and line. What happens? I was thinking of using pline cxx 6lb with this if i get it.

Re: Finesse rod help?
BPS has a combo sale...a stradic fh with a BPS extreme xps for 129.00 I can upgrade rod later. What is the reel opinion? I was thinking of the 1000 size for lightweight slider heads.
Thanks

Finesse rod help?
I am looking for a finesse rod and reel. First the rod. It has to be able to toss brewer slider heads and cannot be pricey. Any suggestions?

Re: Fishing Line Choices
A bunch of people have recommended p-line cxxx for finesse style fishing. I just picked up a spool of 6lb which I will put on my finesse rig whenever I get that. (I am looking at a bps combo with either a 1000stradic or a catalyst). Guys I know that have been using the yozuri love it but they are th...

BPS combo recommendations
BPS has two combos for the same price. I am looking at a 6' 2pc light action rod with either a quantum catalyst or a shimano stradic lh. Both combos are 129.99. I will be using it for finesse fishing with sliders. Any preferences?
Thanks,
Wandy
