Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

I held out looking for a used Steez XBD, but settled on a the Ish Tatula Elite frog rod. I'm guessing this rod was based on the XBD frog rod. It has a nice tip to work the baits.

Re: Steez AGS Spinning Rods

I'm curious why the 7'6" mml is always brought up as a "special" rod. Shouldn't the ML and M be on the same level as the MML just a little different power? (I guess maybe the MML would be versatile enough to eliminate the need to own the ML and M?). Anyway I've been tempted to buy the ML more than ...

I would purchase new Metaniums from Japan.

Re: Need Help, New Spinning Reel

That's what we will go with. Going to be a bit odd to have a reel that nice on a $150 Abu rod... Eventually I will get a nicer stout spinning rod for the setup. I use it occasionally for bombing tubes and small swimbaits, going to use 10lb Sufix 832 and the spinning rod is the "Ike" 7'6"MH (like a ...

Re: DC reels, opinions, techniques

I owned a Curado DC and sold it off after a few outings. I honestly felt like I could cast further using my thumb. I sort of wish I kept it to teach my wife how to use a baitcaster though. Damn near impossible to get a major backlash. I also was not a fan of the sound.

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

I just picked up a Luvias LT 4000-CXH JDM and it's really nice. I have two NIB 15 Exist 3012H from last year that I have in my reel storage and just picked up through a trade with a good buddy a new with tags, in a sealed bag, Daiwa 76MML. Should I jump to a new Exist LT 4000 with it? He had three ...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Hopefully the pictures will work. I need to do a complete 2020 rod and reel post, but these are my two favorite spinning setups. 7'6 MML Steez rods paired with 4000 Exists LTs. I have owned a lot of high-end gear and these are my favorite purchases. I fish a for smallmouth in the Great Lakes a lot ...

Re: Frogging reel suggestions

Looking for a 7:1 with 32+ inches per turn. What do you suggest? Curado K comes to mind, what does Ish use again? Going to be paired with an Expride. I currently have a 150-sized 7.9:1 Patriarch with upsized 95mm handle. It works, but I’d love a bit more power (and easier handle turns) to manhandle...

I put a RCS 90mm on mine and I have a ZPI on a Met. They are both really high quality handles. Horse apiece.

ZPI Offset Handle Question

I installed a ZPI offset handle on a Metanium MGL. I tried installing the stock knobs on the ZPI handle and they don't spin freely. I tried using some shims that I had laying around from other handles and it didn't work. Any suggestions?

Re: Luvias LT

Do you run any Shimano spinning reels? I am probably about to pull the trigger on a Certate 2500XH, just wanted a comparison from the only spinning reels I have ever used, Stradic FA and FB Ci4+'s. I would like to know if anyone has put time in on a Stradic FL and a Certate to compare (those are my...

Re: Best rod to pair with Steez CT ?

I have mine paired up with a GLX 842c and it's incredible. I use it for 1/16 and 1/8 oz jigs, and small topwaters like Ricos.
