Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa

What really makes no sense is that finesse oriented reels don't sell well in the States. It's not like Daiwa doesn't know this.

Word is, US price on the Steez CT SV 70 will be 699 bucks. No thanks. 472 bucks on Digitaka

Re: 2019 JDM Jackall new lure

I'm a Jackall fanboy myself. Unfortunately, nothing to exciting there. Those rods look like the next step up from the BPM, with some advanced materials in the blank manufacturing. Few pics, but the reel seat looks super wide.

Re: Reel Seat Question

I find them comfortable enough. If I had to explain, I would say it's a cross between an ACS and PTS. Smaller taper towards the rear like the ACS. Wider taper in the front like the PTS. If you fish with 3 fingers in front of the trigger, it should work for you.

Re: Olympic Graphitelader Rods

I've owned both the veloce RV and Nuevo Bosco. Both entry level 2 piece sticks. I think both blanks punched above their price. Considering Olympic is one of the few companies that roll their own blanks in Japan, I felt they were better than similar offerings from the Jdm market. The builds are clean...

Traditional center cut on this particular model

Re: JDM Rods to have this Spring???

I have both the original and 18 version of the 6'10 medium 2 piece Adrena. Great sticks for jerkbaits, plus a whole lot more. Shimano is also releasing a new 2 piece Scorpion rod for the Jdm market. Looks like the little brother to the World Shaula.

It's not discontinued. A 2nd generation (18 Poison Adrena) was released last year. I have one, and it's most excellent.

Depends a lot on what you want out of the line, and what you will be using for.

Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa

Well seeing now that Shimano has a Scorpion MGL, I figure we will see something new from Daiwa in that range? I hate to say it, but I don't see much better than my Zillion SV TW's or Chronarch MGL. Going to be hard to buy something new unless one of them steps it up big. Would love to see a Zillion...

No joke, that might be my first Megabass/Steez. I'm a sucker for chartreuse.

Being it has a Megabass handle with ebay Tacker knobs, I'm assuming it's a custom build - custom paint.

Re: Steez SV TW1012SV-XH opinions

I want to say I read a comparison of the Steez 1016SV G1 and the ZIllion 1016SV G1 spools and the Zillion version was preferred, as far as the 1016's go? Or am I mis-remembering this? That was one person's opinion as I recall. Suffice to say, the performance is close. If just buying the spool for p...
