Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Picked up a couple of the new limited g11012 7.3 zillion sv's from the asian portal. Kudos to the new tackle portal...ordered last friday and it arrived Wednesday. https://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/prattly78/20190810_185818_zpsi9teup6m.jpg Is that shop pretty safe and reliable? Reasonable sh...

Re: 105 SV vs 103 SV spool

If running 22 lb test, I'm not using the 105. The two spools are almost identical in performance. You need the 103 bud.

Re: Megabass rods

They make a beautiful balanced rod but i see so many post and comments about breakage issues recently in the past year or so. Ive had 2 in the last year break on hooksets of fish that should have never broken a rod. One was a a mart flipping special and the warranty replacement braillist. I've owne...

Re: Is the Steez SV TW currently the best low profile bass reel on the market?

To say something is best without setting a parameter is a dangerous proposition, but to suggest that sales equate to what is best is simply misguided. That train of thought would lead you to believe a Corolla is better car than a Tesla S, or a Ferarri for that matter. Heck you prolly think Mcdonald...

Re: New Daiwa BLX rods?

They are a high $ rod priced at same price as the Steez XT. Problem is 5 year warranty vs lifetime on the Steez XT as well as the zillion. With no Zillion available... as of right now... curious what the replacement will be. Hard to believe it would be the BLX. Not exactly. The Steez XT retailed fo...

Re: Daiwa reels - gaudy or sexy?

Those colors totally match. I don't have an issue with that. I still don't like the red lettering on the Morethan, though, and the shine still looks cheap to me, but I haven't seen one in person unfortunately. I mentioned the Zillion SV TW with the blue body and red/orange accents. I think those co...

Re: Post purple

Don’t you love when you get home from work and you got a couple rod tubes just leaning against the house waiting for you to get home? Since it is the 2018 purple edition, and 2019 is the year of no more shelf queens I had to have something to match my P.O. TD-Z. I grabbed a Designo Leben DLT-C71H+R...

Re: Sensitivity

I would put my custom Lamiglas Infinity up against any rod out there in terms of sensitivity. I can feel a t-rigged worm ticking individual blades of grass. In pea gravel, it feels like I'm dragging it down a dirt road with fresh gravel. The thickness of the blank material, actual composition of th...

Re: Part of the club now

I think you'll find that the spool you are already using, will be the one that stays long term. Would be my choice anyways. Unless you want something a little more shallow, in which the Steez SV105 is another great option. I'm running the limited version in a few reels.

Re: New Poison Adrena

Good Evening The 6'11" can anyone comment on it as a jerkbait rod. I use a Rapala concept ti 6'11" which is a med / fast 1/4 - 1/2oz it is a soft med rod, and is my go jerkbait rod for visions 110 slender pointer 112 and any sub 100 size baits. I have handled the first gen Adrena and really like th...

Re: Daiwa reels - gaudy or sexy?

Wonder if the OP knew how quickly this would turn into the "who's got the flashiest Daiwa" thread... Haha, this thread did somewhat confirm that most Daiwa fans do like the flashiness. I personally find it over the top in most cases, and the colors even clash in a lot of cases too. But hey, i...

Re: Daiwa reels - gaudy or sexy?

one KTF Kahen spool and one Blue I've got more school work to do, wish there was a class where recess consisted of fishing :-({|= :-({|= Are those 1st generation Cumaras? Daiwa on Shimano eh? A lot of folks consider that a cardinal sin, but I'm down with it. Shimano makes excellent rod blanks, and ...

Re: How many rods/reels do you actually use

2 lights 2 medium lights 2 mediums 2 medium heavys 2 two piece travel rods. One medium light, one medium heavy. 8 casting reels - 7 Daiwa, one Metanium DC That looks just about perfect to me for what I want. Evenly spread out over the different rod powers. I'd maybe want one heavy for frogs but for...
