Re: SV Light Limited

From all the 32mm spools, I prefer the SS Light Limited the best. I'm probably the odd ball here, but I didn't like the reel as much as I wanted to. Though not as bad, it still has that somewhat hollow and toyish feel that the SS SV has. The paint wasn't all that great either. Just my 2 cents. I ke...

Re: Good jerkbait that’s better than a 110 or pointer?

Jerkbait fishing is so much about so many things, other than the bait itself. Try a Jackall Squad Minnow 80. It's smaller than what you've been using, but it's what works best for me when I don't want to put a whole lot of thought into working the bait.

Re: High end JDM rod recommendations

Raid is another outside the box option. Unfortunately, a lot of the outside the norm rods can be difficult to source.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

So I got the 19 Millionaire CT SV, which was eagerly awaited. First impressions in the yard is “meh”. Quite unimposing simple cosmetics by Daiwa standard, which I like to some extent. Square-ish appearence from above/below. Cast control knob is silvery with a cheap-ish look, no clicks. Star drag cl...

Re: Translation of Shimano Japan lure symbols

I've found Jdm Shimano rods to be so multi capable, I don't even pay attention to those symbols. As long as my intended techniques fall within the blank specs.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

30 mm BFS spool from KTF: It might be that, because obviously there's thousands of people that want buy that lightest lure capable(?) BFS spool and maybe those was not made many thousands. Now I can understand why somebody was selling used KTF spool in Ebay for $350. Obviously people are thinking e...

Re: So... Fireline

No, it's just always been wild. The spool in mine is super fast, tuned more for bombing football jigs than skipping senkos. All I've ever used is 10# Invizx on it, and while that line isn't exactly what I'd call unruly, I'm thinking braid would be more forgiving on it. I don't know about this stuff...

Re: So... Fireline

SV105 wild? I can't stand Fireline. Not the original stuff anyways. I've never had a line dig into itself like this stuff. And when it digs, it DIGS. I use to run 10-20 lb various braids all the time. Never ever had a problem. Fireline always managed to kink up... Imagine using an extremely thin aud...

Not a clue. Seems to have been pretty quiet, so I'm expecting a fairly unexciting Icast this year.

Re: Is the Steez SV TW currently the best low profile bass reel on the market?

Again, personal preference. It's my favorite reel no doubt with the Zpi Nrc001-m, but that doesn't prove its the best. Besides, how many of us enthusiast knuckle heads can say we've used every reel currently on the market. Plus, different reels are aimed at different designs with different intended ...

I am curious, do we have spool weights for comparison for the
Alpahs ct sv
Millionaire ct sv
Steez ct sv
?
I am no huge fan of tws and (may) go with the millionaire...
I believe all 3 reels utilize the same spool. The SLP Works version is now available as well.

Do you guys "hate" these baits because they don;t work for you or you simply have little experience with them?
This is the 1st thing that's made sense to me the entire thread lol
